It's really simple, Clinton built the firewall between the intel agencies that kept them form connecting the dots. In the early months of the Bush administration all they had was a bunch of disjointed information, who would you blame?

The memo produced 4 days into the new administration wasn't ignored, hell it was produced at a time when the new administrations people probably didn't even know where to get office supplies, much less have cohesive operational departments.

Was the memo given the attention needed that HIND SIGHT says it might have been, obviously not, but the security teams didn't have the advantage of hind sight, did they?

Your dear leader inherited, active, ongoing operations, Bush didn't and the Clarke memo proposed future actions, with the most urgent one being more covert funding for the Northern Alliance in Afghanistan. Nothing in the memo insinuated an eminent threat to the homeland. Given the information the new administration had at the time and without hind sight, what would you have done different?

So far you seem to think people just starting a job should be read in and totally up to full operational speed on day one and we all know government doesn't work that way, hell it take months to hire staff and learn who all the players are.

Their teams were assembled before January of 2001 and then they had months to prepare. But prepare for what? Their priorities, unlike Clinton's, did NOT put terrorism from the Islamic radicals at the top of any list.

In it you will clearly see that it was written to the Southern District Court of New York (only) and clearly states that it pertains to certain ongoing court cases related to the trade center bombing. It clearly states that the FBI has opened an additional counterintelligence investigation related to the ongoing court case and that it is necessary to separate the two so the criminal case is not tainted. No where does it say the FBI can't communicate with the CIA, DoD, NSA or any of the other intelligence agencies.

U.S. diplomatic personnel who were killed during the George W. Bush administration died in circumstances other than an attack on a U.S. diplomatic mission:

--Barbara Green, an employee at the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad, was killed in a 2002 hand grenade attack on a church in the Pakistani capital. Four other people were killed in the attack, including Green’s daughter.

--USAID officer Laurence Foley was shot dead outside his home in Amman, Jordan, in 2002.

--Bureau of Diplomatic Security officer Edward Seitz was killed in a 2004 mortar attack on a U.S. military base near the Baghdad airport.

--Jim Mollen, the U.S. Embassy’s consultant to Iraq’s education ministry, was shot dead while driving in Baghdad in 2004.

--David Foy, facilities maintenance officer at the U.S. Consulate in Karachi was targeted and killed in a 2006 suicide bomb attack in his car near the consulate in Pakistan’s biggest city. His driver was also killed.

--USAID official John Granville was shot dead in his car while returning from a New Year’s Eve party at the British Embassy in Khartoum, Sudan, in 2008.

On Sept. 12, 2012, U.S. Ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens, foreign service officer Sean Smith, and Navy Seals Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty were killed when heavily-armed terrorists assaulted the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi.

Before that attack, no American ambassador had been killed in the line of duty since 1979, when Ambassador to Afghanistan Adolph Dubs was killed in a shootout after being abducted.

U.S. diplomatic missions around the world did come under attack a number of times during the Bush years, but those attacks killed foreigners, and in some cases American civilians – not serving U.S. diplomatic personnel.

Benghazi differed from the other embassy attacks under GWB in many other ways: In spite of the obvious danger, security in Libya had been drastically reduced, requests for more security by the ambassador had been denied, request for aid after the attack began were denied and Obama, Clinton and Rice lied repeatedly about the attack being "spontaneous" (on the anniversary of 9-11); that terrorists were not responsible (because Obama had terrorists "on the run"), and the phony "blame the video" media blitz.

There is no set time limit for investigating. It takes as long as it needs to in order to get to the truth. If they don't get cooperation, like people not wanting to turn over emails and other things, it slows things down.

Funny that you object to the investigation dragging on, but haven't mentioned anything about the way Hillary and others have deliberately tried to stall it.

The media is actually good at getting to the bottom of things when they want to. None of them have dug into this matter with any real effort. None have tried to track down the survivors of the attack for interviews after those people were quickly whisked away to a remote location.

So many suspicious actions, yet the liberal media just yawned and focused on lesser issues to fill the news show.

Why don't you ask Hillary and Obama why they didn't care about the lives of those murdered in Benghazi and why they didn't take any steps to protect them. We know why they didn't push for answers. They knew what happened and preferred that the rest of us never found out the truth.
