The coverup is worse than the crime (or the attack) or at least it used to be during republican administrations. The administration lied to the American public about the attack and the alleged cause of the attack which they said was an obscure you-tube video and a demonstration that got out of hand (with mortar attacks on 9-11).. The question is where did the lies originate. Another issue is the fact that rescue operations were told to "stand down" and there would be no effort to try to save the Ambassador or the security team. Still another issue is the fact that the Ambassador asked for more security and his request was apparently denied.

If incorrect and misleading media talking points were impeachable offenses, the whoppers that came from the Bush adminstration during the propaganda phase of the Iraq invasion and occupation would have had him impeached. At least with President Clinton they did get him to lie under oath about his affair with Monica. This is nothing more than trying to submarine Hillary chances for the Whitehouse in 2016. I believe it will backfire on the Republican beginning next year.
