Ranking member (D) rips into Issa(R) during oversight committee.....

Ever notice that when Republicans at the USMB post links, the links either say the opposite of what they want them to say or have nothing to do with what USMB members are saying. Obviously, this is why so many never post links.

No that would be you and the lefties. Liek the OP for example. Watching the video it's clear what happened. Cummings tried to score points and give a speech, first saying he had a point of order--which was a lie--after Issa had adjourned the committee.
Which part of that did you not see? Do those partisan blinders you wear 24/7 let you watch videos?

It really make me sick they would stick up for a government office like Learner from a government agency accused of abusing their power and she taking the fifth instead of testifying (calls it a witch hunt) over we the people in this country

that is some eye opening stuff about your fellow country men and women

After repeated criticism of the Bush administration, the Republican chairman of the House Judiciary Committee yesterday gaveled a hearing to a close and walked out while Democrats continued to testify -- but with their microphones shut off.

The hearing's announced topic was the USA Patriot Act, which granted broad new powers to federal law enforcement after the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. The Republicans had presented several witnesses at earlier hearings who supported the administration's call for reauthorizing the legislation. But yesterday, when four witnesses handpicked by the Democrats launched into a broad denunciations of President Bush's war on terrorism and the condition of detainees at the U.S. prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, Chairman F. James Sensenbrenner Jr. (R-Wis.) showed his pique.

He urged witnesses to "wrap it up" and repeatedly told committee members that their time for questioning had expired.

As I said, a partisan shill.

Thats what ya got? Name calling?

It's all you deserve. Nothing you've said has even the vaguest association with the truth, so why dignify it as if it did?

Seriously?? It would have been done with a long time ago if the administration hadn't done everything in its power to thwart the investigation. They still haven't turned over all the documents!

Considering the dems decided to discuss another subject other than that of the hearing, no surprise to me. They needed to be called on it. Once again they were playing politics.

"cum"ings is a piece of shit that speaks broken English and is the prime example of ghetto trash being voters.

He defends that bitch taking the 5th then claims she is not hiding anything....people take the 5th to cover up crimes....

you don't care for the Bill of Rights I'm going to take a wild guess and say that you're a rw'er.

Shitbag...she worked for the citizens of the US and elected officials by those US citizens want her to answer questions regarding criminal activity targeting some US citizens.

There is no 5th Amendment here, she is an employee being told to answer some fucking questions or go to jail. The 5th is like you being caught by the police with a flat screen in your hands.

Repubs don't particularly care for the Bill of Rights, specifically the 4th & 5th. Quelle surprise, big gov't conservatives. :eusa_clap:

who was the "rogue agent" at the Cincinnati office? Oh yeah. A conservative Republican appointed by Bu$h II
Republican at Cincinnati IRS: Scrutiny was 'normal'
WASHINGTON -- John Shafer, a manager in the IRS' Cincinnati field office, has told congressional investigators that the scrutiny of tea party bases started as "normal business" in early 2010 when one of his agents came to him with a difficult case, according to a transcript released by Democrats on a key House committee Tuesday.

Shafer's account confirms what another IRS worker, Gary Muthert, told the committee as well. Shafer — who described himself as a "conservative Republican" in the interview — said he wanted all similar cases to be treated the same for "consistency.

The Bill of Rights includes the First Amendment, which includes the right of TEA party groups to raise money to publicize their views. Turds like you believe only leftwing groups have that right.

Asswipe....the "rogue" people in Cincy has been disproven, they said the orders came from DC.

People at some local office aren't going to launch a NATIONAL campaign against the Tea Party and individuals outside their jurisdiction unless given HQ approval....you stupid pile of shit.

The reason Lerner retired is the fact that if she continued to take the Fifth should could have been fired for cause and lost her pension. She is a public servant who is required by the terms of her employment to answer questions put to her by her employer: the US Congress.

I have no problem with either amendment. I don't even have a problem with Lerner taking the Fifth. No repub denies that she has that right. However, I do have a problem with the Administration that has sworn to "preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States." Persecuting TEA Party members doesn't exactly conform with that oath.

The Obama administration is obviously engaged in a cover-up.

This was the "spin" that Democrats were desperately trying to put on this story in the weeks right after it broke. It was subsequently disproved by e-mails going back and forth between Lerner and the White House Counsel. Why do you even bother bringing this kind of nonsense up?

The "rogue agent" fraud has already been thoroughly discredited.

Hilarious. Remember Douglas Shulman? Anyone?

He was the guy that Bush appointed to the IRS. The guy who was in charge for the entire scandal.

Why isn't he being interviewed?

Why?

Anyone?

Because he will say what Issa and the GOP don't want to hear.

Isn't that fucking hilarious????

Issa is an asshole who doesnt like what anyone has to say unless they agree with him....

Why would any decent person want to listen to what a political whore like Cummings has to say? He had his chance earlier in the hearings. His hissy fit was a pre-planned staged event designed to change the topic of the discussions by the various news programs later in the evening from Lerner and the IRS to Issa's supposedly rude behavior.
