Reid Changing Filibuster Rules

how about adding 3 judges to a court that doesn't need them as stipulated, I already said they were not overloaded and their cases have fallen in fact ( see below).

Ridiculous argument. It's the president's Constitutional responsibility to fill empty seats.

Why do conservatives only want to follow the Constitution when it agrees with them?

well look who's checking in? released so soon? did the treatment go well? :eusa_eh:

why did you cherry pick my post?

That was the beginning of your post, and I didn't need to read further to ask you this question.

Now how about addressing it?

I did, in the post.

Actually, the nuclear option on it's merit is unconstitutional.

Article IV of the US Constitution says:

The United States shall guarantee to every state in this union a republican form of government, and shall protect each of them against invasion; and on application of the legislature, or of the executive (when the legislature cannot be convened) against domestic violence.
So, in effect Democrats have denied these Senators and their respective constituents a republican form of government. Please don't make me embarrass you.

Majority rule is un-Constitutional?

And he's also required to pass a budget

Just sayin

-Geaux
Then, if you want him to pass a budget, you must also want him to fill these Constitutionally-mandated seats.

So you've already gotten half of what you wanted!

Yes, he just needs to do what previous Presidents have done, select someone who will pass scrutiny

-Geaux

All three of these judges have already passed scrutiny!

Republicans do not have any questions about their qualifications!

They just won't fill the seats. Because Obama.

Denying the minority equal protection under the law is. Get it together, Synth.

The majority should rule in a democracy.

Get rid of the filibuster forever.

So, I guess the minority should just be trampled underfoot when it suits you? So what would happen if the shoe was on the other foot? Wouldn't be too happy about it now would you?

Suuuure.

Do you realize how dumb you liberals sound? Quit throwing a tantrum and grow up. Geesh.

Ah so you want to do away with the Hastert rule and house rule 368?

Were any rules violated to enact HR 368?

Is the Hastert rule a rule? (Perhaps I am misremembering but I don't think there is anything to get rid of there.)
