Restaurant Bans Guns...But Not Armed Robbery

It's tried and true advice, if you want to live that is? I said it was brutal, and it's also true.

Are you Pro-Life or not? If you are then that, and not if you've been raped, is what matters. Brutal right? Sure thing, but you are alive to tell the tale. That is what matters right, to Pro-Lifers?

So we have now taken guns to rape victims just need to lay down and enjoy it to getting raped is pro-life.

So let me see if I follow your logic here.

You don't need a gun to defend yourself just lay down and go with it. If you're being raped just lay down and go with it. Not defending yourself is pro-life.

So that is what you're saying here?

If you are Pro-Life, truly Pro-Life, then you don't die trying to avoid a rape, and you don't die trying to shoot a robber. What you value is Life, not ego, and not money, and not rights, but Life, and the robber's life, well, his is worth just as much as yours, maybe more, so you don't shoot. And if the choice is between being raped and living, or getting dead, you choose the former. That is Pro-Life. It's brutal, but it's life, which supposedly, matters more than money or whether you were raped.

So, are you pro-life?

You should probably just go to bed and think about how you're going to save your reputation tomorrow. If that's even possible at this point.

I think it is kind of dumb for restaurants to ANNOUNCE they do not allow guns, even concealed carry ones. This means cops can't even come in..or detectives...and eat. And it is an open invitation for criminals to target that business. Oh. Wait. If it is announced they do not allow guns on the premises, criminals do obey all laws and won't rob them, right? *eyeroll*

Lots of people don't like guns around them, and their kids especially. If more people in your area feel that way, business is good, if that is your policy. Businesses should try to make the customers happy right?

here is a good reason why people don't want to be around guns:
No injuries following accidental Pleasantville shooting - NBC40.net

gun owners seem to do dumber things like this fairly often.

Then you value your money more than your life. Smart people, and smart corporations, make the opposite choice. They are much wiser than you in this case.

I value what is mine. We just have to agree to disagree.

*shrug*

Your money or your life, pick one?

If you are pro-life, the answer is obvious.

Many armed robbers don't give you that option. It's your money AND your life. Therefore, the better scenario is this: a robber demands something from you at gunpoint and you simply shoot him.

1) You keep your money
2) You keep your life
3) Another piece of trash removed from the streets at no cost to the taxpayers.

It's almost impossible to say for sure but it's estimated that approximately 52 million American households own approximately 260 million guns. If gun owners were as "dumb" as you would have us believe then there would be several million stories like the one you posted each and every day. But, as usual, your story is just another "needle in the haystack."

I'm just so confused. How is it that liberal policy of banning guns didn't stop these armed robbers?!? Watching the failure of liberal policy never stops being fall-down hilarious...

Restaurant with 'No Weapons, No Concealed Firearms' Sign Robbed at Gunpoint

Are conservatives really this dumb or are they just so used to reposting whatever they are told to?

Do you really think those signs are for criminals to read and say......I can't rob this place, no guns are allowed?

These restaurants don't want morons walking around with rifles and handguns. It upsets other patrons and it upsets their employees. In spite of NRA mythology of armed citizens fighting off robbers, they do not want shootouts in their restaurants or stores. Give the robber the money and send him on his way

Saves employees or innocent bystanders from being shot

There are documented incidents where armed citizens ended shooting sprees as a result of being armed. Also, the fact that many robbers know (or believe) that citizens are armed acts as a deterrent in and of itself. A robber is less likely to commit a crime if he knows (or believes) that it won't end well for him.

An armed robber is more likely to shoot at perceived threats if he thinks others are armed. The robber wants to get in, get the money and get out as quickly as possible with no fuss
Stores don't care if you rob a couple hundred bucks. They do not want shootouts in their stores. They would rather be known as a place that was robbed last week than a place where someone was killed

Very true. A criminal with any sense does not want to use his gun. He does not want to turn an armed robbery into a murder. He wants to go in, get the money and get out
A batshit crazy criminal does not care about his life or anyone elses. Engaging him in a shootout could kill him or could induce him into killing everyone in your store.

I concur, although I bet that most businesses also never want to get robbed, either.

People like you describe are a lot like atheist's. They don't like guns, until the only person that has one is robbing them and may shoot them then they sure wish someone had a gun to come save them. Same with atheist's in a dire situation. They both reverse their beliefs in a big ass hurry when the chips are down.

You're making things up about atheists. They don't suddenly become Christians when they get into a dire situation. Why would a man suddenly start believing ideas that he laughs at in normal circumstances?

Robbers tend to avoid places that contain threats, whether they are armed or not.

And store owners do care about getting robbed for a couple of hundred bucks. For one thing, if they do it once, they will do it again. Furthermore, it doesn't help his insurance or his business when word gets out that he was held up by armed thugs.
