Withholding aid over the firing of Shokin was totally and completely illegal.
No country should have been asking for that, and only a criminal would have brought it up.
And clearly it was Hunter Biden who was the direct recipient of the benefits of firing Shokin, who was investigating Burisma Holdings.

As much as I dislike Trump, he NEVER withheld and foreign aid to anyone, as that would be illegal.
Asking the Ukraine to investigate Burisma Holdings was not only legal, but to be expected.

He NEVER said that anything was to be made up or faked, so his request was not only legal, but expected and required.
It is the failure to investigate Burisma Holdings that was illegal.

Shokin was civil service, and supposed to be totally immune to political desires.
