Russian Jet Barrels Within 5 Feet Of USN EP-3 - Trump Does Nothing

Why the fuck are we patrolling in the Black Sea?

What US interest is there?

black-sea-map-0.jpg

The Black Sea is like a Russian lake and you can learn a lot about their operations by observing what they do there.

Considering that we want to DEESCALATE tensions, not increase them, maybe we should not be patrolling in their "russian lake".

It is international waters and airspace. I was on one of the first ships to enter the Black Sea in decades back in the 1980s. We were up there when Yuri Andropov suddenly dropped dead and we deescalated by getting the heck out of Dodge.

In the 80s, the Black Sea was the coast of the Soviet Union, a Communist Superpower with an ideology calling for world conquest and a real chance at pulling it off.

Facing up to that was required.

Today, it is the coast of Russia, a much smaller and less dangerous nation, with not such ideology and no such chance.

Time to stop poking the Bear.
Six different nations border the Black Sea. It does not belong to Russia.

Time to stop poking the Bear.

No one is poking the bear! There is a lot of good intelligence to be had.

Our primary purpose in going there was to be there in case the Soviet carrier Kiev left port after overhaul so we could observe their workups. When we had to leave early, we were pleasantly surprised when the Kiev transited to Bosphorus and Dardanelles and came out in the Med to play. I spent the next two months tailing her around the Med watching and listening to everything they did. I spent more time in her wake than I did my own American carriers in two deployments.

That made complete sense then.

Now, not so much.

Why does it not make sense now? The Soviets and Chinese are developing new weapons and systems all of the time.
It makes sense to him because he has never opened a book penned by Clausewitz.

The treasonous fat senile old orange clown could have had our ambassador lodge a complaint concerning the recklessness of the Russian pilot. And, maybe, approved of applying the sanctions our Congress voted for.

he could have verbally assaulted Russia but he has his lips locked around Putins asshole so damn tight the old derelict cant talk.

Funny. We had the same basic, and true, idea.

trump can't complain because it's impossible to talk with Putin's Johnson in his mouth. Lol...

Democrats wanted Trump to order the plane shot down. Then the democrats can say Trump started WWIII.

He's got your number.
Turkey shot down a Russian war jet that threatened it's soldiers. Guess what? No war started, the Russians don't mess with the Turks...they fuck with us because our commander in chief is Putin's little puppy.

Trumps is the biggest pussy to ever hold the presidency.

Lessee. Trump and Putin are buddies who swap spit with Putin's arm up Trump's ass, right? Yet Putin is out there doing everything he can to piss us off. Russia buzzes us a couple of times and Trump DOESN'T start a war right off and now Trump's a BIG PUSSY, right? But Russia buzzes us about 33 times under Obama with Obama doing NOTHING ABOUT IT and Obama was just a rock-steady steadfast leader eyeing the world peace?

:oops8:

Oh Really...wow...

Let's see here...
Russia closes the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin and begins construction
of the Berlin Wall. They send their tanks to the wall. The US under gutless
Kennedy sens 6 tanks and then withdraws them as the Soviets mass 100,000 troops in East Berlin vs America's 15,000. We never reinforced.

Kennedy gives the Okay for Brigade 2506 to launch its invasion of The Bay
of Pigs and supports it with 5 American B-26 bombers (WWII Vintage) He
originally committed to using 15 B-26 bombers but reduced it down to 5
2 were shot down. 4 American's were killed. Kennedy did not reinforce
the Brigade and the Beachhead collapsed in 3 days.

Kruschev was obviously no dummy. He knew Kennedy was as weak as it
gets and he deploys 60 Russian IRBM, IMBM to Cuba. At the time, Russia
had no viable first strike on America because they only possessed 32 ICBM's
compared to America's vast arsenal of ICBM's, both land-based and under the sea.

Russia retreats from Cuba taking it's 60 missiles with it, BUT getting a
new base for their submarines, which still operates today. We remove
all of our Nukes from...not only Turkey, but Italy as well...plus the Russians
still blew one of our U-2's out of the sky, killing the pilot. We did not respond
to their missile launch on our plane.

LBJ denies Military ground offensive operations, in force, above the 17th
Parallel in Vietnam

In 1983...Barbados and Jamaica ask the US to intervene in the Military
Coup that has toppled and executed the Island's leader. Reagan's intel
take photo's of a new 9,000' runway being finished on the Island. Large
enough to land Russia's largest planes and bombers.

Reagan agrees. Three days later America invades Grenada, with 7,000
paratroopers, Marines and Army Rangers. The World and the UN are shocked. America has invaded a duly authorized nation. Within a week
American personnel start to parade all the dead and captured out of Grenada.

They include 1,500 Grenadian Rebels. 800 Cubans. 50 Russians. 25
North Koreans. 20 East Germans. 15 Bulgarians and 4 or 5 Libyans.
(Obviously the Warsaw Pact was preparing to have their annual softball tournament in the South Atlantic.)

How about Panama or Desert Storm or should I jumped ahead to Clinton
basically ordering the killing of 19 American Army Rangers sending them into
a war-torn, Non-Government Somalia and denying them adequate air support?

We can play this game all day long, Aladdin.

Trump followers all of a sudden embrace the Russians ? LOL....what's Reagan doing down there right now?

What you just did there was show that you have no clue what the Cold War was about, nor that Reagan was a strong ANTI-COMMUNISTS, not an anti-Russian.
Is not about just communism. Russia till now are our adversary on world stage, he k they even threaten the well being of our soldiers, and invade our allies. And you find it ok that you cons wanna lick their boots? And it's a nothing burger?

It was primarily about communism and the threat of the Soviet Union to the Balance of Power.

Russia is not a threat to the world balance of power.

They do not have 10,000 tanks sitting in the middle of Germany with a real chance of rolling all the way to the Atlantic.

Taking the Crimea does not threaten the world balance of power.

i'm not saying that it is an ILLEGAL policy to be patrolling there,

I am saying that it is an unnecessary and unwise policy to be patrolling there.

It does not make sense now, because we have no conflict of interests with Russia that requires US to face them down constantly for generations.

U.S. and Russian aircraft, subs, and ships, have been playing chicken games with each other since before the cold war.

So it's nothing to get in a twist about. .....
Then why did right-tards get all worked up about it whenever it happened during the Obama administration?

Because our military was weakened under Obama. Had we needed to go into a real war with Russia, we wouldn't have had the leadership, morale, resources, or resolve.

They would have beaten us severely and Obama would have been signing a declaration of surrender on some Russian carrier parked outside the East coast.

Actually Ruskies and American's have been "taunting" and testing each other forever. It happens constantly up here in Alaska, and the Ruskies will come to do joint exercises and both sides posture at each other like idiot badasses. It's good for both sides moral and it's good for world peace. It is a "brotherhood" that spans nations, a "healthy" competition that binds us together through the common thread of male asshattery. Both sides recognize that both sides are playing games, it is the "equal" stage that they must share.

There is no need for the US to fire a shot, we must merely nod in admission that we were bested and caught with our pants down there. It is not about this single "encounter" after all, it is about the "war" - which between Russia and the US these days is in itself little more than posturing on a grander scale. Neither of us can "win" against the other, so we're forced into these silly interactions of "winning" and the small prizes of ego heh
