Sarah Palin - compilation thread

I don't think either VP will decide the election but it proves that the maverick is still alive and well.

No telling-- I hate em all and I am still looking to see whose pocket Palin is in but this pick at LEAST makes it interesting. If we could only fit a mexican and a jew in there !!!

Maybe we can toss together another party the JMEX or the MJEW and we would cover all the ground.

I'm always fussy about wasting time--sounds like a good plan--get all those issues flying around at once instead of spreading em out forever !

She was the mayor of a small alaska town two years ago, and has only been governor for 18 months. This is the best qualified female candidate McCain could find?

Deer meet Headlights:

I know Cons love her, because she's right on all their favorite positions: Creationism, denying global warming, tax cuts for oil companies.

But, I still think this is going to be seen in the long run as a mistake by Mccain, if not a downright joke.

There were many qualified republican women he could have chosen, that are clearly far more qualified than this small town mayor.

Its obvious this was a choice made of desparation. McCain wants a media buzz, to distract from the stadium size crowds obama routinely fills. I don't think McCain met her more than a few times, and I wonder how well she was even vetted. She doesn't know much about foreign policy by her own admission.

I think for non-Con women, this will actually be an insult. There were so many qualified women McCain could have chosen, but he decided to play political games and create media buzz by picking some small town mayor no one's ever heard of.

God forbid if McCain wins, and he dies from cancer his first year in office. President Palin? Are you fucking kidding?

I could be wrong about this. But I think history will judge this choice as a joke.

Excellent choice here is one reason why...
Sarah Palin - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Governor Murkowski appointed Palin Ethics Commissioner of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission,[17] where she served from 2003 to 2004 until resigning in protest over what she called the "lack of ethics" of fellow Alaskan Republican leaders, who ignored her whistleblowing complaints of legal violations and conflicts of interest.[18][3] After she resigned, she exposed the state Republican Party's chairman, Randy Ruedrich, one of her fellow Oil & Gas commissioners, who was accused of doing work for the party on public time, and supplying a lobbyist with a sensitive e-mail.[19] Palin filed formal complaints against both Ruedrich and former Alaska Attorney General Gregg Renkes, who both resigned; Ruedrich paid a record $12,000 fine.[3]

What are you gonna do Homo boy?

Give me another neg rep because you don't like my opinion?

Only homos spend friday nights on message boards wandering around giving neg reps to liberal opinions they don't like.

I'm out for now. Enjoy your friday evening on the message boards and on gay internet porn.

ah yes, typical for a lazy assed lib, attack someones sexual orientation when they have nothing to attack with truth

which you are WRONG on also

Palin has more experience than McCain, Obama and Biden combined.

Governors manage.

Senators read TelePrompTers™ and take lots of vacation.

There's no comparison and this is a fight the Obama campaign would be foolish to pick - hopefully they do not heed my advice!

I think the experience between Obama and Palin is balanced. He has national experience, she has executive experience. He has experience making decisions on a committee, she has experience making decisions on her own.

The only downside to Palin is that she nulls McCain's "Obama is not experienced" stump, but she also adds the "change in Washington" that Obama's been preaching. She also puts a leash on Biden as he will have to be very careful on how he approaches her in a debate. When he attacked Clinton, he lost a lot of support from women.

I just realized another major point for Palin: she didn't run against McCain in the primaries.

Obama and Biden now have to deal with issues of the attacks they made on each other in the primaries, especially Biden's questioning of Obama's lack of experience.

McCain doesn't have that problem. If he had chosen Romney, they would be in the same boat. Pawlenty would not have brought much of that into play, but he had his own baggage.

Palin just seems like the perfect choice. Very little baggage (one scandal, which amounts to nothing) and a LOT of progress in her two years as governor. I really think she shows great potential for a future Presidential candidate if, God forbid, they lose in November.

Yes, that post, made hours ago, was when I had misread her inauguration date as December 2005. It was December 4, 2006, so she's going into her 22nd month now.
which is 22 months more executive experience than obama or biden
:D

Exactly, but I'll say it again: she lacks national experience. Obama does have that, but he has no executive experience.

Basically, they're equally viable to run the country, but in different ways. However, he's running on the front of his ticket, and his VP is way more experienced and ready to lead than he is.
