Saul Alinsky

Hillary admired him so much she wrote her thesis on him. people better wake up is all I can say

As we search for social influences on the First Lady, we have to begin in this context, in the unique mix of the public and private that served as her environment as a young woman. She was as marked by her chronological age and the Age of Aquarius as most Sixties people were — and she is probably where she is today because she was even more influenced by it than the rest of us.

It is no accident that she chose to write about Saul Alinsky for her senior thesis at Wellesley College . As a social activist, Alinsky was as much a part of the Sixties as was Kennedy and King. He was in the background creating the foreground of interpretation:

“Power to the people” is a phrase coined by him as much as by Stokeley Carmichael. Like the headband, Hillary abandoned much of what influenced her back then. But still this heavy identification with her age and THE age continued in bold form right after she completed her senior thesis.

That people stood to applaud Hillary Clinton’s commencement speech — the first one given by a student at Wellesley — is another mark of her generation that she wears in her psyche. It had to matter to her that the classes before 1960 remained in their seats, not quite sure of what had just happened. Classes before 1930 didn’t even clap. From ‘60 on people were on their feet clapping.

because dishonest hacks would try to make something of it, wellesley college kept it archived until after his presidency.

It's sadly amusing when factually quoting someone's own words is classified as hackery.

Hillary hoists herself on her own petard.

Anyone questioning our masters in government are hacks and morons...We should all know this by now.

Hillary's spiritual mentor!

not exactly...

The thesis offered a critique of Alinsky's methods as largely ineffective, all the while describing Alinsky's personality as appealing. The thesis sought to fit Alinsky into a line of American social activists, including Eugene V. Debs, Martin Luther King, Jr., and Walt Whitman. Written in formal academic language, the thesis concluded that "[Alinsky's] power/conflict model is rendered inapplicable by existing social conflicts" and that Alinsky's model had not expanded nationally due to "the anachronistic nature of small autonomous conflict."[1]

In the acknowledgements and end notes of the thesis, Rodham thanked Alinsky for two interviews and a job offer. She declined the latter, saying that
"after spending a year trying to make sense out of [Alinsky's] inconsistency, I need three years of legal rigor." Rodham, an honors student at Wellesley, received an A grade on the thesis.[1]

I wouldn't call Wikipedia an exactly objective source for political items.

That said, Hillary found Alinsky appealing, and developed a way to implement his agenda by adapting to and exploiting current social conflicts. Hence her entire campaign is based on the alleged fact that she has a vagina.

no, her thesis found his methods ineffective and inconsistent with her ideals...

she declined his job offer as well. he was not her "spiritual mentor" at all.

if you want to discredit the facts from wiki you're going to need more than wiki wiki wiki wa wa

YOU want her campaign to be about Vagina, which doesn't make it so...

yup... wingers only know how to wallow in the mud.

and given they have nothing to say, they start foaming at the mouth and ranting "alinsky alinsky".

(when anyone with a brain knows its actually the rightwingnuts who use alinsky's methods).

this was an email I received: Well what do think?

Saul Alinsky died about 42 years ago, but his writings influenced those in political control of our nation today.

Died: June 12, 1972, Carmel-by-the-Sea, CA

Education: University of Chicago

Books: Rules for Radicals, Reveille for Radicals

Recall that Hillary did her college thesis on his writings and Obama writes about him in his books.

Anyone out there think that this stuff isn't happening today in the U.S.?

All eight rules are currently in play.

How to create a social state by Saul Alinsky:

“There are eight levels of control that must be obtained before you are able to create a social state. The first is the
most important.”

1) Healthcare– Control healthcare and you control the people

2)) Poverty – Increase the Poverty level as high as possible, poor people are easier to control and will not fight back if you are providing everything for them to live.

3) Debt – Increase the debt to an unsustainable level. That way you are able to increase taxes, and this will produce more poverty.

4) Gun Control– Remove the ability to defend themselves from the Government. That way you are able to create a police state.

5) Welfare – Take control of every aspect of their lives (Food, Housing, and Income)

6) Education – Take control of what people read and listen to – take control of what children learn in school.

7) Religion – Remove the belief in the God from the Government and schools.

8) Class Warfare – Divide the people into the wealthy and the poor. This will cause more discontent and it will be easier to take (Tax) the wealthy with the support of the poor.

Does any of this sound like what is happening to the United States?

Alinsky merely simplified Vladimir Lenin's original scheme for world conquest by communism, under Russian rule. Stalin described his converts as"Useful Idiots." The Useful Idiots have destroyed every nation in which they have seized power and control. It is presently happening at an alarming rate in the U.S.

If people can read this and still say everything is just fine…they are “useful idiots”.

"It is difficult to free fools from the chains they revere."

The liberals worship Alinsky and the Cloward-Piven strategy.

If you look at everything the left has done and continues to do, you'll see they are following the Rules for Radicals to the letter. It's no more than a plan to take down America and turn it into a dictatorship. It's been tried and the methods have worked well in the past. I think Alinsky must have worshipped dictators of the past. Taking countries down isn't all that hard and takes time. America was a tough sell until older generations died off and the left poisoned the minds of so many with victimhood and entitlement to turn them into useful idiots. Once socialism, then communism, arrives, it won't work. Never has and never will. We are just experiencing the newest bunch of wannabe dictators who want to take a shot at it.

"'Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have.' Power is derived from 2 main sources – money and people. 'Have-Nots' must build power from flesh and blood.
  1. “Never go outside the expertise of your people.” It results in confusion, fear and retreat. Feeling secure adds to the backbone of anyone.
  2. “Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy.” Look for ways to increase insecurity, anxiety and uncertainty.
  3. “Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.” If the rule is that every letter gets a reply, send 30,000 letters. You can kill them with this because no one can possibly obey all of their own rules.
  4. “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.” There is no defense. It’s irrational. It’s infuriating. It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions.
  5. “A good tactic is one your people enjoy.” They’ll keep doing it without urging and come back to do more. They’re doing their thing, and will even suggest better ones.
  6. “A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag.” Don’t become old news.
  7. “Keep the pressure on. Never let up.” Keep trying new things to keep the opposition off balance. As the opposition masters one approach, hit them from the flank with something new.
    1. The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.” Imagination and ego can dream up many more consequences than any activist.
    2. “If you push a negative hard enough, it will push through and become a positive.” Violence from the other side can win the public to your side because the public sympathizes with the underdog.
    3. “The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative.” Never let the enemy score points because you’re caught without a solution to the problem.
    4. “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions"
