Seized tapes record Donald talking with Cohen about Karen McDougal payoff.

and this was a 'privileged' conversation between a client and attorney.

How do you figure that? The only way privilege could possibly apply is if Cohen was providing legal advice or other legal work. Paying off a mistress so that she won't reveal a decade old affair isn't legal work.

Sure it is. You should quit spouting off about the law because you obviously know nothing about it.
While the tape may have been prtected by this privilege, it no longer is. Trump's attorneys waived it.

Are the tapes Admissible in a court of law since Trump was unware he was being recorded?
What about attorney client privilege?
Wouldn’t that be something.
But really I just want people to know that are being duped by a first class charlatan. Lied to again and again.

I think this whole situation is educational for the American people. Even discussions with your lawyer can no longer be assumed safe and may be used against you. Also, anyone, including your attorney, could be taping your conversations. And they also could be used against you. I think the majority of Americans have no clue this is the case. How many TV shows over the year have episodes where attorney/client privilege prevent a prosecution?

As for Cohen, the legal field has changed a lot. Back in the 1970's, Ted Bundy was under arrest in Florida, but the authorities had not yet determined who he was. Bundy called his attorney and asked for advice. His attorney struggled over calling the police station and telling them they had Bundy. He didn't make the call due to attorney-client privilege. If it were me, I would have called and dealt with the bar association later. However, it shows how far this issue has come.

Now, we have an attorney taping the conversations of a client. The govt seizing those recordings. And, then either the attorney or the government releasing the content to the press.

The American people will have to decide what they think about these practices. I don't think most approve of this kind of thing, and certainly wouldn't if these tactics were used against them.

The former White House stenographer was right: trump hates records. He despises recordings. Why?

Because they consistently contradict his lies.
Actually, they show that he's telling the truth and all the witch hunters are lying.

Seems like both parties would have to waived it

No. The client holds the privilege and the client is the only one who can waive it.

Trump's attorney doesn't have the authority to wave the attorney/client privilege, dumbass.

What difference does it make when the contents are released to the press anyway?

So what? No money exchanged..
You could not possibly know the truth of that, and you just made it up, then said it, then it became true, to you. The tape outs Trump in jeopardy in general because it indicates that there are many more tapes. It outs Trump in jeopardy in this specific instance, because it demonstrates intent.
"Outs in jeopardy?" What the fuck is that? You're always inventing new legal terms that no one ever heard of.

"Intent" to do what, not commit a crime? You are beyond stupid.

The difference is that prosecutors can actually review them and submit them as evidence in a courtroom. That's a huge difference.

Another got you moment from the liberals..........

Has soooo much to do with Russia...............

Now for important stuff...............Mary Ann was HOT..........so is Karen.....................

Do you guys and gals think they look the same.

No money was exchanged says the guy that said that no money was exchanged with stormy Daniels. Which was a lie.

Trump has been caught lying about this exact topic. For fucks sake, until the audio was released, he lied about this too, insisting that he had no connection to this woman.

Why would you ever, under any circumstance, believe this lying liar about the very topic he has systematically lied to you about?
The fake news media has lied about virtually everything.

In other words, he doesn't have the authority.
When acting as Trump's attorney, with the consent of his client, he does. And that is what Trump's attorneys did. Again, check the news....
"With the consent of the client" means he doesn't have the authority to do it on his own.

You lose, dumbass. You even posted that only the client has the authority.

You're such an unbelievable dumbass.
