There are several reasons we don’t send F16 and f15 fighters into a battle zone with no little control of logistics. For one, The right would be the first to whine when one of their 80 million dollar gifts were shot down. That’s like losing 20-30 howitzers. We’re sending defensive weapons, not offensive weapons…If they were a nato nation, it would be a different story.

These things can need up to 17 man hours of maintenance for every hour of flight. It isn’t like any other piece of military equipment in expense to build or operate. It would be a huge drag on every other piece of hardware we send over there.

Trump actually had a lot of credit with China, Russia, Ukraine, Asia in general and e.g. Mexico. Most important, he never set the basis for inciting a war - especially not a nuclear war.
Most of Europe simply hated him because he told them to pay up for their own defense and openly criticized the subsidizing economic policy conducted within the EU.
His economic stance towards China - clearly endangered Europe's economic fairyland attitude towards China.

No doubt a jet has to be thoroughly gone through by maintenance people. But I don't things are quite that bad. Also, maybe we could send maintenance people along with the jets. To train Ukrainians how to do the job right. That is if they are lacking in people who have the ability to maintain and fix fighter jets. Certainly they don't have any (or very few) that are that familiar with American fighters.

China hasn't had a single war in the past 40 years, since it's new CPC policy was established in 1981.

All of Ukraine is a war zone and prime targets would be their air fields. Sending in American support troops to be among those first killed in bases is exactly how we got involved in Vietnam. They were among the early targets being key military personnel. Jet fighters are an offensive weapon with range enough to reach deep within Russia. It doesn’t matter who is flying them, f16s and f15s represent American involvement on Russian soil
