This is true, but that was back in the day where you assembled an army in a couple of days. You grabbed your gun and went to battle.

Today it requires months and years of training to have a military. If we were ever attacked, we don't have months and years to spare.

That's the founder's point though....they didn't want it to be easy to send our countrymen to war....every time a potential enemy sneezes...

And having the militias within t h e states still could have worked, like state national guards, shoot they did most of the fighting in Iraq....the founders knew what they were doing.

The federal government should oversee state/ local agencies to ensure a minimum standard is being kept up, but STATES should run their own education programs. Public education is SUPPOSED to serve the greater good, but it absolutely $U@KS right now. Once discipline was taken out of school the education system began going down hill because educators lost control in the schools. Kids are not rampantly (in many cases) disruptive and disrespectful. Hail, kids were selling drugs in the bathrooms of my daughters school last year and once caught they were suspended...for a WEEK! Also, have you seen Common Core math? Adding 35 + 26 now looks like an algebraic equation rather than the two numbers over each other and carrying the '1'! It's nuts! And as I said, get the Liberal B$ out of the schools! Kids, especially kids as early as the 4th grade don't need to be taught that '2 daddies or 2 mommies is okay', how to masturbate, or how to give oral sex! GOOD LORD! Kids are still graduating not knowing how to read and write!
