Some inconvenient facts for EV cheerleaders!!

Economics EXACTLY why fossil fuels going nowhere for a long, long time.
You have it backwards.
Fossil fuels are the energy of choice ONLY where electricity is not a viable option. That is the ECONOMICS. Obviously electricity has been used for mass transportation for over 100 years and for the energy needs of homes, factories and nearly every business. Exxon is transitioning over to renewables to power their refineries. So really, the days of fossil fuels for electricity generation is numberEd.
Get real.
Rail, ocean vessels , aviation and long haul are hold outs, with transition Nat gas and other options slowly replacing oil.

As THE SUPPLIES OF FOSSIL FUELS dwindles, it gets increasingly expensive. Its not nearly so much with renewables.
The economics demand renewables, not fossil fuels. Even the fossil fuel companies get it.

So much more evil than children killed by fires caused by cigarettes, matches, lighters, gasoline, lighter fluid, stoves, ovens, toasters, electrical shorts, etc, etc, etc.
EVs are being forced on us..we are mislead about the danger. Any child's death is a tragedy. Woudl you agree with that? Even the PREborn ones?

it isn't different, is it?

We are all sorry those children died. We are all sorry when any children die of preventable causes... like privately owned guns. But the only action this tragedy warrants is an investigation of the specific model bike that caused the fire and its manufacturer.
it was the battery that caused it. It's already known Lithium Batteries can catch on fire. It's why they don't like them on planes.

And why there are a number of UL, CPSC and CPSIA rules about their construction that were very likely violated by the model in question.

well the batteries aren't made by the bike company!!!!!

There are UL, CPSC and CPSIA rules for the batteries. Stop your pathetic dodging.
And they still light up. Again, lithium batteries are not wanted on airplanes. You know this don't you? or are you again so stupid you can't look up facts?

Just wondering.

Devices containing lithium metal batteries or lithium ion batteries, including – but not limited to – smartphones, tablets, cameras and laptops, should be kept in carry-on baggage. If these devices are packed in checked baggage, they should be turned completely off, protected from accidental activation and packed so they are protected from damage.

Spare (uninstalled) lithium metal batteries and lithium ion batteries, electronic cigarettes and vaping devices are prohibited in checked baggage. They must be carried with the passenger in carry-on baggage. Smoke and fire incidents involving lithium batteries can be mitigated by the cabin crew and passengers inside the aircraft cabin.

Fk the amount of stupid you portray is remarkable.

It is not that they are not wanted on airplanes. They must be in carry-on luggage, not checked luggage. I guess you have to both look it up and read what they say.

They would prefer they weren't on the planes. To say otherwise is rather ignorant on your part. A carry on laptop has already lit up.

Millions of laptops have flown on planes without incident. This thread concerns electric VEHICLES. A laptop is not a vehicle. And the rate at which EVs catch fire is a small fraction of the rate at which ICE-powered vehicles catch fire. So, what IS your fucking point?

and it took one to put one down and evacuate.

And it took what to put what down and evacuate (a plane, I assume)? Please try complete sentences.

And it took one laptop to put one plane down.

You can’t be that dense. Do you ever know what you post?

I bet fifty times as many planes have been forced to land by obnoxious drunks.

I don't doubt it. Just mandating masks did that.

But lithium batteries might light up and do light up.
