I read about this earlier and it baffles me as much now as it did then. To refuse medical from from someone due to their skin color? I mean...really???? That is just assinine.

Not if you were a white woman who had been the victim of sexual assault by a black man.

I assume black women sexually assaulted by white men need not be concerned?

The title says different race but i bet most of the complaints involve negro race. Neither black nor white patients want an affirmative action baby attending them.

If someone is in need of medical attention and their need is a matter of life and death, my guess is that "Affirmaive Action" would be the last thing on their mind.

P.S.

And if their attending physician happened to be a beneficiary of Affirmative Action, it is most likely that the physician would be a white female, you dope.

I recently had to find a new GP and did a meet and greet with 7 or 8 doctors. I passed on the ones with real heavy accents and finally found one I liked.

Shit the last time I changed veterinarians I spoke to 4 or 5 before I picked one.

Why is it you all think that all doctors are equally competent?

Here's a story.

My wife had suffered with debilitating menstrual pain for several years. She saw at least 6 or 8 doctors and so called specialists about it.

They told her to go on birth control ( an unnecessary risk i thought as she was in her late 30s at the time and since I had a vasectomy there was no need)

Well the pills made her bleed so much she became anemic.

She suffered for a few more months and then saw someone else. This particular doctor ( some foreign misogynist asshole btw) told her she should just go out and get pregnant and that would solve her problem. I filed several formal complaints about that ass wipe.

So it only took 4 years of this until we finally found a doctor to help her. She ended up having surgery only to find out that she was so packed with endometriosis that what was supposed to be a 2 hour procedure took 6 hours.

So you may trust any idiot with a medical degree but I won't.

I speak a little Spanish and am currently using the Rosetta Stone Italian course because we might be taking a trip to Tuscany this fall. But I am not fluent by any measure.

When we switched dentists several years ago we went with a practice that had two docs ... one a white guy, mid 50's or so the other an Indian woman, mid 40's or so. While they both practiced out of the same building you had to choose which doc you wanted to see, it wasn't as if they were in practice together but rather shared the office space. Anyway, the dentist is traumatic enough for me to go to but add in a woman with a very heavy accent which is hard enough to understand without a mask on, let alone with one on ... yeah, we chose the white guy.

Family docs .... one of the docs and one of the nurse practitioners (both white) I refuse to go to because they don't listen, are idiots and have poor doctor/patient skills.

Don't care about race, etc. Care about ability, communication, knowledge, trust.
