Support for Tea Party hits all time low

part of the reason people hate them is many sold out to the Establ. Repubs.

No, the reason people in general hate them is people don't want their insane concept of "super tiny" government that allows pollution, doesn't solve our educational problems, and doesn't lead the world in science. Most people want exactly what the tea party doesn't want.

The tea party are red-neck amish. Most of America simply isn't.

If you keep lying to yourself, you'll never comprehend why the Tea Partiers whooped the Dumocrats so bad.

Yeah, Obama, the Liberals, and even Boehner and McConnell have been trying to kill it off, claiming it was already dead, and are even STILL targeting it with the IRS as Obama's corrupt DOJ declares 'although they did not follow the law and did some bad things the IRS did nothing 'illegal'. LOL!

For being such an insignificant group, the TEA party wreaked havoc in the 2010 election, scared Obama and liberals so badly about 2012 that they began illegally targeting them with the IRS to minimize their potential impact (like they had in 2010), and have done everything they could to destroy this group that has fought to hold them accountable (and did so in 2010). That's funny as hail, fight there!

Never has such an 'insignificant' group had so much impact and put so much fear and hatred into political opponents. :p

And what have they done for the country?
.

The Short Answer Is Nothing.

In U.S., Support for Tea Party Drops to New Low
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Americans' support for the Tea Party has dropped to its lowest level since the movement emerged on the national political scene prior to the 2010 midterm elections.

Sounds like it's time for a name change.

The Tea Party failed because it was never really founded on principles but rather slogans such as limited government, the Constitution, stop the spending, and abolish the fed. They didn't have a principled understanding of these concepts. They didn't know what the federal government wasn supposed to be limited to. They didn't know what the Constitution said. They didn't know the criterion for deciding what Congress should and shouldn't be spending money on. In short, they were all over the map.
Moreover, it wasn't anything new. The Republicans have been running on those slogans forever.

The very simple sad ass, sorry ass fact of life for Republicans is they ain't got nothing and they know it. They hand control of their party to the lunatic fringe of their party and don't know how to take it back.

Try as they might the Republicans cannot find they ass with both hands and road map.

The most recent attempt "To Get" Hilary Clinton was an epic failure of monumental proportions. 11-Hours of questions and in the end even Goober Gowdy admitted "Nothing New Was Learned", his words not mine.

Cons are reduced to going very questionable websites to find stories about family members who have "proof" that Hilary "Lied"..

Republicans wasted over $4,000,000.00 in U.S. Tax Payer Dollars and have shit to show for it.

That is the best shinning example of "Republican Leadership", and that is truly sad.

in other word you got nothing.

i get it

Ross Perot "Are you through? Is the Tea Party done talking so I get to say something? Or are they still yelling about a black president? Is that the deal here?".

The angst among old white conservatives is waning because the black president is almost through with his second term. The steam is going out of their rage. If the Teabaggers were ever about 'smaller government', their party was hijacked about 3 minutes after it started. By the Koch brothers and con media to, what else, defend the wealthy and demonize the poor and middle class.

This balloon is deflating quick. The fact that the whackjob caucus in Congress that represents the Teabaggers are falling all over themselves to kiss Ryan's butt to become speaker and promising they will behave let's you know they are played out.

Now they are going to find out just how quickly the Republican establishment dismantles their 'new party' and relegates them to observer status.

another left-winger making a sorry, pathetic fool of himself

too bad all the hyperbole accusing the Right, the Tea Party of "demonizing the poor" squares poorly with REALITY that shows under PROGRESSIVES THE RICHEST GOT RICHER, THE POOREST GOT POORER, both AT A FASTER PACE then was the case under Right-wingers

it's hilarious watching the self-impressed left-wing nutjobs make fools of themselves!!

a person with ACTUAL critical-thinking skills can figure out why you dont see the infighting in the Democrat Party; they are all a bunch of conditioned lemmings preaching to each other's choir, each one trying to outpander the next.

Please be sure to let me know when you have that list of all the awesome Democrats poised to take the House back next year moron. i mean since you tried to ridicule the notion that the House is safe for Republicans at least through the next election cycle at all.........................and you have all these original thoughts and shit right??

Republicans have done nothing with control of congress. Everyone can see that, it is unlikely they will remain the majority long.

because the people that put them there hoping they wouldnt be Democrat Lite are going to vote for Democrats?

idiots and hypocrites

Because the independents will turn on then. During a presidential election more Dems will vote. Repubs have nothing to run on right now.
I think it goes even deeper than that. Republicans are deeply split as a party. Christian conservatives, the Tea Party, RINOS, and now the new movement aimed at turning over government to non-professionals. Republicans within congressional districts can often reach a consensus and can control the House. At the state level it's more difficult and Republicans have a harder time in the the Senate. At the national level, all these factions have little in common and have trouble getting behind a single candidate.

Democrats do not have as many strong factions as Republicans and find it much easier to get behind a single candidate.

i think the yearning for outsiders cuts across Party lines; especially in these times

liberals have deluded themselves that Sanders is some kind of "outsider" because he has actually crossed his Party a few times; never to join the Right though

I would be surprised if any politicians are popular right now. What the majority wants isn't being done.

Yes, the popularity of outsiders does across party lines but it's much stronger among Republicans than Democrats because Republicans are much more dissatisfied with government than Democrats.

The whole idea thou is seriously flawed. The logic runs something like this. Those that have knowledge and experience in government have failed to meet our expectations so we should try those that lack those qualifications. There is nothing to support this, just desperation. No one seems to be able to make a case for why someone who has not had a career in government should be elected president.

Why respond to him. His entire mission is to derail the thread.

He post in a thread while feigning disinterest.
When the feign disinterest does not kill the thread, he issues challenges and stake claims that are really unrelated to the topic.

For instance,Who needs to talk about Democrats House prospects when the thread is about the decline in support to the Tea party?

The Republican prospects could have increased some but the Tea party candidate is not contributing to that increase due to it(TP) losing public support.

Until Bdw stops feigning disinterest and makes a significant point, ignore him. There are a few cases he does say something worthwhile. But only a few

in a discussion of alleged lost favor of the Tea Party by left-wing idiots what OTHER item can be inferred but that you idiots think that supposed refutation of Tea Party principles will translate into success for DEMOCRATS??

surely you arent advocating for more mainstream Republicans right moron?

doesnt everybody that posts here with any regularity already know what side of the political aisle you and the others ranting about the Tea Party are on? it isnt the Republican side is it?

so all things being equal idiot; how am i "derailing" anything??
what are people supposedly rejecting the Tea Party FOR???
