It was overturned...by Constitutional Amendment that should never have been required has the Court been correct in it's decision in Dred.It still is.
It was never overturned, the decisions made in the opinion by Chief Justice Tanney, still stand.
Actually it does. Which is why every USSC decision if literally filled with case law.case law doesnt apply to SCOTUS,,
wrong again,, scotus can only decide if a law abides the constitution,,Actually it does. Which is why every USSC decision if literally filled with case law.
Really? The intent of the Constitution was to support and ensure slavery would continue.Consistency in the application of the intent of the Constitution is the ONLY Meaning they should abide.
The current Court does not care about the peopleBut there will be a price to pay.

The 21st amendment overturned the 18th amendment.and of course you can prove that,,
Does it matter?interesting…
And did those Justices claim it to be settled case law when they were confirmed?
Missouri's Dred Scott Case, 1846-1857. In its 1857 decision that stunned the nation, the United States Supreme Court upheld slavery in United States territories, denied the legality of black citizenship in America, and declared the Missouri Compromise to be unconstitutional. It was overturned...by Constitutional Amendment that should never have been required has the Court been correct in it's decision in Dred.
that only amended the constitution not overturn it,,The 21st amendment overturned the 18th amendment.
Is that game, set, match?
The Court isn't there to coddle your "feelings"...they are there to interpret the Constitutionality of the law.The current Court does not care about the people
you also said "REPEATIDLY" so what are your other examples??The 21st amendment overturned the 18th amendment.
Is that game, set, match?
They have just recently thrown out regulation, because it didn't comport with statute law. Even though it didn't violate the constitution.wrong again,, scotus can only decide if a law abides the constitution,,
thats based on constitutionality,,They have just recently thrown out regulation, because it didn't comport with statute law. Even though it didn't violate the constitution.
So you're wrong, about the scotus ONLY decide constitutionality.
Precedent is DEADDoes it matter?
Does slavery suddenly become a great precedent if they did?
Would that make slavery more palatable to you?
Besides...it's a dumb argument ... Supreme Court Justices don't answer to Congress on how they will decide cases...and shouldn't. The Court isn't supposed to be a political branch...it's supposed to interpret the law.

What Gorsuch, Kavanaugh and Barrett Said About Roe at Confirmation Hearings - FactCheck.org
In the wake of the leaked Supreme Court draft opinion that indicates the court could overturn Roe v. Wade, some lawmakers have charged that conservative Supreme Court justices led them astray during Senate confirmation hearings. We'll look at what the three most recent conservative justices had...www.factcheck.org
Which is why the senate gets to determine a judges qualifications, and if his judicial philosophy comports to what they approve of in the highest court of the land, before they serve on the highest court of the land. Because as you got right, it's too late after they're confirmed.Besides...it's a dumb argument ... Supreme Court Justices don't answer to Congress on how they will decide cases...and shouldn't. The Court isn't supposed to be a political branch...it's supposed to interpret the law.
It was settled law, but that doesn't mean it's etched in stone. The context was testifying to the US Senate under oath.
When asked if they would overturn Roe, they all say that it was settled law, and they believe in Stare Decisis.
Read it again. The 21st amendment directly OVERTURNED the 18th amendment.that only amended the constitution not overturn it,,
sorry for you thats a legal way to change the constitution,,
no it directly REPEALED it,,Read it again. The 21st amendment directly OVERTURNED the 18th amendment.
