Thank you President Obama

Gas prices set record: 1,000 days above $3 a gallon

a record for high gas prices. Liberals went off the wall blaming Bush jr for high gas prices, but Obama sets a record and the same lwing jerks are quiet.

You'll probably never see gas under $3.00 a gallon again. It's done and done. There's no excuse for gasoline being this price across the country - especially when a barrel of oil fluxuates between $90 and $100 (most days), but that's the way it is.

Hell 99% of Americans just accept it and move on. What else can We do?

The Brent and the WTI have been over $100 for quite a while.

When you guys understand that the price is driven by speculation and by the demands of energy for industrializing in China and India, you will stop sounding so silly.

You are probalby right about the gas prices not going under $3, but the lwing made high gas prices such an issue when Bush was in office and now they are quiet as church mice.

And what were the prices a year ago today? Higher, the same, or lower?

Still defending Obama I see.

No, it is Cheney & Bush manipulating the markets...

They are out of office and have been for over 4.5 years. IF gas prices being high under bush is Bush's fault, the same standard applies to BO.

That was kinda my point....

The first thing that MUST be understood here, on this forum, is that no matter what - it's Bush's fault. Oil too high? Blame Bush. Starving kids in Africa? Blame Bush. Television reception is lousy? Blame Bush.

Barry is our savior. He would have made America a utopia by now were it not for Bush. If the price of tea goes up a penny in Bejing - well, you get the point....

The reason liberals gave for high gas prices when Bush and Cheney were in office was because they were both 'big oil' men. All of a sudden it is speculation and industrialization causing it.

I call BS.

That's too hard for the peabrained right wingers to understand. It's just easier to blame "da libs" and Obama.

The President hasnt caused the gas prices to increase any more than President Bush did. Of course, his policies aren't designed to alleviate the gas prices either.

When we are serious about becoming energy self sufficient we will see the prices drop significantly.

I understand it just fine.

The POTUS, whoever he is, has nothing to do with gas prices. Its all speculators.

The POTUS has nothing to do with high gas prices and he sure as shit has nothing to do with the prices when they come down.

Hell. I can remember when gas was 19 cents a gallon. You could fill your vehicle for $5 bucks. Of course we will never see that again.

You like the peabrained leftwingers blamed Bush for high gas prices?

Not really. Just because our demand drops doesn't mean China's and India's and Indonesia's (etc) does -- plus that's where OPEC comes in and responds to a drop in demand with a drop in production. What we will see is that we're less addicted to a substance that hasn't really dropped in price. And if it does drop in price, we get re-addicted.

Kind of a viscous circle, pun intended.

The government makes more from gas in California than the gas companies do. We pay a 39.5 per gallon in tax. Ouch!
