The attempted coup in DC is exposed

It's almost as if we're saying that these blatant and treasonous acts have clearly been perpetrated, and there is nothing that can be done because the DOJ and the rest of the federal government are now essentially under the control of The Deep State.

This certainly presents a dilemma.

What might be the best course of action then - perhaps a police state, in which the perpetrators of these crimes are summarily arrested and punished without the need of any due process?

Looks like the cats out of the bag and we came very close to being just another country in the Americas where leaders are chosen by coups instead of elections. Actually this was just the first failed attempt and coup part two is still going on with the endless investigations.

"Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz on Thursday said the Department of Justice’s discussions to employ the 25th Amendment to oust President Trump-- if true-- amounted to an attempted coup."
McCabe, who was fired from the bureau in March 2018 by then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions after it was determined he lied to investigators about a leak, sent shock waves through Washington on Thursday for comments he made during an appearance on CBS News' "60 Minutes".

"The excerpts detail the eight days between the firing of former FBI Director James Comey and the appointment of Special Counsel Robert Mueller. After Comey’s firing, McCabe was acting director of the FBI.

"These were the eight days from Comey's firing to the point that Robert Mueller was appointed special counsel," Scott Pelley, the '60 Minutes' host said. "And the highest levels of American law enforcement were trying to figure out what to do with the president." He said people involved were "counting noses" and considering who might agree to the idea. "

Alan Dershowitz: Ousting Trump via 25th Amendment is ‘clearly an attempt at a coup d’etat’

Why is Dershowitz questioning "if true, Rosenstein already acknowledged the conversation took place?
rose claimed he was "just kidding" . Apparently he was deadly serious.

Okay, so now what?

What's the plan from the White House to deal with this?
Clinton and Obama had their chance long ago to escape justice, but they decided instead to commit treason to attempt to launch a COUP. Trump even communicated this to both of them publicly that he was willing to drop any potential investigations in to either of them. That's where is stands. And where it stands, is that despite The President's Bluster, he is a better man that either one of those two.

How about you tell us what you think How The US Government should deal with Traitors?
I guess your answer is "nothing".

If the government thinks a law has been broken, they'd follow the standard protocol, I'd think.

And guess what? You have a "Republican" in the White House to get the ball rolling.

If not, then this is all just talk. As usual.
.
This just came out. Give it time to percolate.

Not sure exactly what the legal recourse could or should be on this but the word sedition comes to mind. Who would file these charges i just dont know.

There isn't must TRUMP can do when you consider this is nothing new coming out. Republicans in congress with the exception of a few were unwilling to do anything when this came out months ago. Republicans in congress should have be united in calling for Rosentstein to resign or in the very least recuse himself from oversight of the Mueller investigation.
Months ago the participants said it was just a joke, now its come out this was a serious coup attempt.

Good points and why citizens themselves need to raise hell about this and force officials to act on this attempted coup.

You’re services are greatly appreciated comrade.
I would wager that one of the last things that Russian troll posters would learn in English are the nuances of things like "your" and "you're".

While you sit behind a big beautiful full size keyboard in mama’s converted garage for several hours a day proofreading the shit out of every post many of us are out moving and shaking and being productive while squeezing in a little time to verbally bitchslap the fuck out of twisted LefTards here...I’m usually using dictation from my cellphone while on the road.
I’m always hoping one of you spelling/literacy Nazis will volunteer to be my bitch and make corrections for me.
I’ll thank you on behalf of Intolerant
Thank you for volunteering to be a bitch...much appreciated.

You seem to be illiterate.

You do not know what ‘coup’ means.

Russians reading this thread are laughing at how easy it is to fuck with Americans— especially the dumb ones.

Dershowitz is a fucking FOOL!

If it is treasonous for a group of US officials with legitimate, vested and sworn interests in the US government to contemplate a question of exercising an Article of the US Constitution, then the Earth is flat and Mexico is going to pay for that damn Wall when Trump gets back from his golfing weekend!

Good definition for you here. Notice the similarities to what was attempted with trump.

What is a political coup?

"A political coup is a abrupt change in the leadership and political direction of the country, that is not a result of the lawful hereditary or democratic change.

A good example would be the change of leadership in the Soviet Union:

  • Malenkov replacing Beria and executing him in 1953; Troop movements occurred to make the coup possible but no shots were fired
  • Brezhnev/Kosygin replacing Khrushchev in 1964 and forcing him into retirement.
  • The 1991 Soviet coup d'état attempt; the putschists held on to power for a few days and arrested Gorbachev, but the military did not support them and the putsch failed.
While the military is often a silent actor in a coup, it is not involved in military hostilities. If the military is actively involved, we would call that military coup.
A political coup is something organized by a few disloyal leaders, usually in expectation of popular support, but not propelled by a popular uprising."
