The existence of God.....and politics

Question:
Which God is Pascal talking about? Did Pascal give a condition on believing in the wrong God?

If not, then obviously Pascal's wagers is an "off the cuff" friendly proposal not to be taken seriously.

Pascal was a Christian philosopher ......and his "wager" is just that, a tongue-n-cheek attempt for us to "measure" or assess the odds of how we live our lives and the influence of religion on the choices we make in our lives.

That only happened at the end of his life, and he always had issues, smart people usually do.

True, sometime one is much more lucid when one abandons sanity.

How sane is anyone who is capable of deceiving themselves about something for which there is absolutely zero evidence, namely the existence of a god or gods?

how sane is anyone who is capable of deceiving themselves into thinking their id no evidence for God. You might not like the evidence. You might not let it convince you. But to deny that evidence exists is insane at best and absolutely arrogant at worst.

There is no evidence. Not an iota. But I am open, show it to me.
