When the government has the power to punish hateful speech (not actions, mind you), it can prohibit oppositional speech merely by classifying it as 'hateful'. So yes, let people say what they will. When they take action, then you bring justice.
Because your hero destroys the right wing belief that only the left is authoritarian. Why would I disown the hero who saved Chile from becoming a Soviet client state? At least you aren't trying to disown the right wing authoritarian dictator.Pinochet was a dictator, but he wasn't totalitarian. You obviously don't know the meaning of the term.Hey stupid? Totalitarianism is exclusively left-wing. You can't have libertarian totalitarianism.Do you have any idea what Fascism is, pat?
From the Wikipedia page:
"Fascism is an authoritarian or totalitarian nationalist political ideology. Fascists seek to organize a nation according to corporatist perspectives, values, and systems, including the political system and the economy."
This, of course, is a pretty good description of the Republican dogma, and has nothing 'progressive' about it.
You should find some other epithet to hang on those with whom you disagree.![]()

I think hate speech is like pornography. I know it when I see it.
Most people can see this was hate speech. The school acted completely appropriately.
The left really believes that children belong to the state. It's mind-boggling how these people believe they can discipline private citizens for exercising their constitutional rights. Not only that - but look at the "logic" this nitwit used:
So let me get this straight - because you feel that social media "put you in the spotlight", you think you need to take illegal action against students for exercising their constitutional rights? Especially on their own time.In a statement to the World-Herald, Messerole said, “I think we are in the spotlight now and I think it is up to us to be a model. We have to do something. This is not OK.”
But the chilling fascist oppression didn't stop there. This one is even scarier:
Do you notice how he worded that? "We can't come up with a charge". They are literally trying to find something to charge these children with. That should be chilling to every American (and it will be to those that are actually educated). They are actively searching for an angle to go after children because they exercised their constitutional rights.According to the newspaper, Creston Police Chief Paul Ver Meer said that the police department was not involved in the investigation, and that the school was handling the incident.
Union County Sheriff Rick Piel corroborated Ver Meer’s comments, and told The Associated Press that as far as he knows, “it’s all being handled by the school.”
“We’ve spoken to the county attorney, and we can’t come up with a charge,” Piel said.
Do you know why you can't "come up with" a charge, Rick Piel? Because what these children did was 100% legal. Just because you fascists don't like something doesn't mean you can stop others from doing it.
If I were one of their parents - I would hit the school district with the mother of all lawsuits.
Frightening photo featuring students in KKK garb with Confederate flag and burning cross goes viral
The US Constitution and the rights articulated therein and our obligation to defend the exercise of those rights does not vary with "the times we live in"....I have. It was stupid when they did it. But here's the thing. That was a different time. If this happened today, anyone who marched with Frank Collins (Pedophile and self-hating Jew) would have been identified and their employers would have been informed, and they'd probably be fired from their jobs. That's the world we live in now.
So much for the compassion and humanism claimed by Liberal-Progressives, once you speak or act contrary to their agenda... I'll bet that prospect excites you....These little monsters should have their lives ruined forever...

If the law can legally prohibit speech on the basis of 'hate', it can prohibit any speech by merely classifying it as hate. Would you really want Trump to have the ability to squash CNN on the basis that they are spreading hate speech about him?
The US Constitution and the rights articulated therein and our obligation to defend the exercise of those rights does not vary with "the times we live in".
The term fascist, when used as a pejorative, is meaningless. Doesn't matter which side is doing it. All of its historical context is lost. As is your revisionist understanding of the left /right political dichotomy, meaningless.
Only Guy Catcher could consider someone who consistently upholds the constitution and liberty as "hypocritical".Faux P@triot is a hypocrisy on steroids.
As we've seen since President Trump obliterated Hitlery Clinton in the election - the left only deals with pictures and coloring books. So Tehon will not be able to understand this until we illustrate it for him:The term fascist, when used as a pejorative, is meaningless. Doesn't matter which side is doing it. Isn't it tragic that you have to explains something so rudimentary? They really are that stupid. If I were one of their parents - I would hit the school district with the mother of all lawsuits.
If I were one of their parents, and I found out my Kid was out there in KKK Garb with a Confederate flag, the school would be the LEAST of their worries.
THis is what you're defending, Poodle, the right of kids to be hateful?

Guy Catcher gets a little upset because I've caught the contradictions in his position time and time again. As such, in his humiliation, he attempts to do the same to me. Unfortunately, that makes him look extra stupid since my position is 100% in line with what my position always is.
The Supreme Court made it clear that schools can disciple kids for what happens outside of school time . They have a duty to create a safe atmosphere at school.
Kids don't have the same con rights at school . They are not free to say whatever they want or refuse searchers for example .
Don't like it? Then homeschool your little racist monster .
Hitler was right wing because he was conservative. He was unhappy that the German Monarchy was replaced with a democratic Republic. That is the historically accurate definition of right wing.Hey - I know Tehon - why don't you tell us again how fascism is "right-wing" because Hitler turned on Stalin and that makes him the opposite of what Stalin was.At least you aren't trying to disown the right wing authoritarian dictator.![]()
The state is not punishing the kids, the school is, and schools are run by local school boards by people democratically elected to represent their district..The parents want to control their kids also, yet that is not fascism or the left to you..
Lessee, who should discipline children? Parents or the state..?
even the ones that don't get elected do the same..The state is not punishing the kids, the school is, and schools are run by local school boards by people democratically elected to represent their district..The parents want to control their kids also, yet that is not fascism or the left to you..

Your statement would have merit if not for the fact the many people democratically elected cherry pick as to whom they will punish.
So is Kaepernick yet he can't get a job for displaying his freedom of speech, does that mean that all the people that don't like what he did are fascist left leaning people?I don't agree with the kid's message but I'll stand with them for their rights to freedom of speech and expression.
They weren't trying to make a political statement. They were just being rebellious teenagers.
Regardless they are protected by the Constitution
