The Growing Conservative Consensus Regarding Trump's Eligibility....

So? That isn't a crime, dumb fuck.

As I told another left-winger on another thread.

Sharing information is great.

The lectures and so-called....."this is what happened" threads are worthless.

What will happen with Trump is going to happen and none of us are going to influence it....AT ALL.

So this self-righteous B.S. is just that.

Of course, it never hurts to get yet another example of their fallacious reasoning.

Democrats idolized Dershowitz until he told them that Trump had rights and the democrats were wrong.

Funny how that works.

The GOP does the same thing.....but it seems more prevalent on the left.

I don't watch the walking dead, but when I see an ad (or used to) and see all those tortured souls just aimlessly wondering around looking for brains, I see a Joe Biden pep ralley.

If you want to see real zombies watch videos on YouTube about Kensington Ave in Philadelphia. It's a tragedy in many big democrat cities.

If the OP is right, then no need for liberals/Democrats to ever post another word about Donald Trump. The conservatives have got this. The liberals/Democrats can moveon.org to concentrate on convincing us that Joe Biden will be a better president for four more years than whoever the conservatives do nominate.

What a breathe of fresh air it will be to see them doing that. So, they'll be explaining all about Bidenomics, Chinese money pouring into the Biden family coffers, Tax money pouring into Ukraine while we have homeless immigrants pushing homeless veterans out of shelters, and the skyrocketing crime rates in blue cities? Great!

The5thHorseman, you start . . .

Americans

Trump has run for election twice, and lost the popular vote in both elections. The third time is not going to be the charm.

Furthermore, the man was in the middle of a fraud trial when you elected him. His business history is disqualifying. His past history of bribery and corruption, which he has openly bragged about, is disqualifying.

The Republican Party should have disqualified him from running in 2016.

Trump is a disgrace. Republicans have far better options to lead the party in 2024. No one should think otherwise, much less support him, ever again.

Trump proven unfit for power again

It’s up to the Justice Department to decide if this is a crime. But as a matter of principle, as a matter of character, Trump has proven himself unworthy to be this country’s chief executive again.
Trumpâs silence on Jan. 6 is damning

One year later....

“If the public record is accurate, the case is not even close. He is no longer eligible to the office of Presidency,” the law review article said.

“The former president’s efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election, and the resulting attack on the U.S. Capitol, place him squarely within the ambit of the disqualification clause, and he is therefore ineligible to serve as president ever again.”

The democrat Party platform: a noun, a verb and J6

Crusader,

Do you have ANY idea what the current GOP platform is?

The vast majority of it is the same as the democrat Party platform: keep spending so we can continue to collect from lobbyists AND trade on Insider Information. Trump is only slightly off that plantation and is viewed as an Existential Threat

For me, Trump is fucking awful! He allowed our educational system to continue to collapse, he ignored the Fascist actions of our Intel Anencies AND he wanted to continue spending and hold interest rates artificially low. He also hired people who belong in Leveanwoth, Gitmo or in front of a firing squad

But to his credit, not only did he not start any new wars, but enacted the Abraham Accords, kept Putin in check, held NATO accountable and reasonably addressed the rising threat from China

Thank you for reposting all of the fully debunked lies about the Biden Administration, including that fully debunked lie about veterans being pushed out of homeless shelters.

Even the NY Post retracted the story:

Donald Trump continues to go around the nation whining about a stolen election, and how unfairly he's being treated. He has yet to reveal any platform for his campaign other than to mete out "retribution".

Democrats are ignoring the Trump prosecutions, and focusing on the record of the Biden Administration, including the lowest rate of unemployment in 50 years, stock markets reaching record highs.

The Biden's are celebrating the successes of the Infrastructure Act, the Chips Act, and the Inflation Reduction Act. They've restored immigration services at the Southern Border. And reduced the deficit by more than a trillion dollars. Wall Street is no longer predicting a recession for this year or next.

This week JB continued meeting with the leaders of Asian Nations, building alliances to counter China's influence and threats in the region, continuing his success strengthening relations with India last month.

Frank,

That's a steaming pile of pablum..

He can believe whatever he wants. It isn't a crime to believe the election was stolen.

No, but it is a crime to try to overthrow the results of such an election, which is what Trump tried to do, from creating slates of fake electors,to trying to pressure Pence to fix the counting, to organizing that mob outside the Capitol.

That's what he's being put on trial for.

Democrats idolized Dershowitz until he told them that Trump had rights and the democrats were wrong.

Uh, I thought Dershowitz was a piece of shit when he got Claus von Bulow off the hook for putting his wife in a coma. I thought he was a piece of shit when he joined OJ's dream team and argued that blatant evidence of OJ's guilt should be ignored because Mark Fuhrman said a bad word once.

And he's a piece of shit now.

Obama didn't start any new wars either. But his inaction in Syria set off the worst refugee crisis since the Second World War, and neither did Clinton. Both participated in UN Police Actions, of very limited engagement, but neither started any wars.

The Abraham Accords were dog and pony shows, signifying nothing. Basically something to help Trump's re-election campaign. The nations involved have been cooperating for decades. The Accords merely codified things that have been happening in the region for decades, and haven't been much of a success since they were signed:

For its part, Oman has sustained warm, if quiet, relations with Israel for nearly 50 years, perhaps the oldest such relationship between Israel and a Gulf state. Today, it is most notably characterized by Israeli participation in the Muscat-based Middle East Desalination Research Center, the last of the Madrid Process initiatives still extant. . . .

. . . But the Accords have yet to find a firm rooting in the attitudes of Arab populations. Except for Morocco, where recent Arab Barometer polling data found that only 11% of the population considers Israel a threat, Arab publics generally continue to view Israel in a negative light, based largely on the latter’s failure to resolve the Palestinian issue.

Trump didn't "keep Putin in check". Trump just cleared out of the way in Syria, and let Putin have his way. He withheld aid to the Ukraine and told Zelensky to "settle with Putin", and gave the Russians intel in the oval office.

Trump's slavering adulation of Putin was a national embarassment. He didn't keep Putin in check, he simply did his biding, fracturing NATO, and threatening Zelensky.

Trump's policies emboldened China. America First and Trumps cutting aid to African nations and calling them "shithole countries", allowed China to forge new alliances in Africa, Mexico, Central and South America. Trump basically ceded Europe and Asia to Putin and Xi, giving them a free hand to do whatever, and fuck your alllies.

I don't see any consensus. The elites know he's toast and would prefer another nominee. The base disagrees
