The Jan. 6 Committee plans to vote to subpoena Trump during today's hearing

number of phone calls to check in on Officer Michael Fanone, who was physically injured & got PTSD & had to retire because of Jan 6

Pelosi: 300, including one face time at 3 AM
Trump: 0

Fanone also had drinks with Reps Swalwell (D) and Kinzinger (R)

Liz Cheney took him out to dinner, & Joan Baez honored him along with Dr Anthony Fauci

The committee just subpoenaed DJT.

He will obviously fight it in court to delay his appearance past January when the GOP takes over the House and kills the committee.
Definitely. Delaying is his favorite legal tactic, and it has worked for him for his whole life. His obvious first tactic is to delay until January.

Steve Bannon has shown that he can't just ignore the subpoena. He'd get arrested, and easily convicted for it.

It’s going to be highly entertaining to watch everyone flip their positions on partisan investigations when the Republicans take control of at least the House after the midterms and begin investigating the Hunter and Joe Biden business dealings.

Funny at the same time this parody of justice is going on the DoJ is prosecuting the "Oath Keepers and claim that Trump is not a key player in the Jan 6th protests.....
the "DOJ" can stick it, brother. they should do their job and prosecute the criminal Trump, or go home and let someone else do it

If the House found Trump to be in criminal contempt, it would be up to the DOJ to prosecute. However, President Biden could take action an order the Secret service to deliver Trump to the J6 committee whether he wants to or not.

I'd love to see Trump's face when the responsibility for his personal safety was in the hands of the Capitol Police!!!!

He does not need to delay because he need not prove himself innocent

pretty much No One gets ptsd from a one day 3 hour event. By its definition ptsd is a reaction to lengthy and severe trauma and injury
This is more candy ass liberal fakery

Trump will delay this as much as possible like the child he is. If he does actually show up, he will plead the 5th to every question and expose his complete hypocrisy about his previous statements on doing that.

Face it: he already lost 2024 lol
Uh stupid? In three weeks the Reichstag Fire show trial is over forever.

"lengthy and severe trauma and injury"

So Fanone is a Reich operative playing a role..

Is the Jan 6 committee going to come back for season 3?

It has been going on for two years. How long do they think they can keep this up?

True. As the Committee keeps pointing out, they have no authority to arrest, so he doesn't need to convince *them* that he's innocent of anything.

But, you can bet that a lot of people from the DOJ, and just about everyone from the Southern District of New York, will be watching. Trump isn't stupid; he knows that anything he says to the Committee would be more free ammunition for others, especially because (as his advisors know full well) he is impulsive and has a tendency to say things that get him in trouble. The whole Trump machine also does really poorly in court, where they have to speak under oath and provide evidence to their claims.

So there is legal risk, but worse (for him) is the political risk. His whole image is that he's strong, correct, and in charge; his worst case scenario is that he looks weak, which he will, even if he takes the Fifth all the time.
