I had a theory about Dumbocrats for a long time. When gun and ammo sales fall short for a few years, the manufacturers donate a lot of cash to get these guys reelected so then they threaten all this boohaaahhaaa that they will take guns and ammo away, thus making normal Joes go out and buy up everything, thus driving up the prices, thus giving more money to the manufacturers , thus more contributions to the Dumbocrats. Even a caveman can see this.

Just an observation I have made over the last few years, and not an opinion on the potential of any hardline gun laws coming (as they might very well be coming), whether anything changes or nothing changes, some interests in these industries are going to promote the idea that "they are coming for your guns!".

Again, I don't know if it will happen and if I were an enthusiast I suppose I would understand the fear better. Whether the situation is good or bad for gun owners, the boogeyman is always around the corner, and thus, gun sales are always a stable or increasing number. It's a business of course.

In Canada we outlawed certain guns and applied a registration system. Apparently it's a mess and been excessively expensive (this last point doesn't surprise me at all). I don't follow it much really, but, all I have heard from people is that it's just more inefficient bureaucracy.

I tried to get all the ammo I loaded up over the last few months into a couple large surplus 40mm ammo cans, and it wouldn't fit.

All together, it weighed a little over 250 pounds and I still have more bullets, primers, and powder left.

There are people who do things for peace of mind. For at least several years people who do not vote Progressive Socialist have been demeaned, slandered, attacked, destroyed personally and threatened to be killed individually and as a group. The media/entertainers/sports players/ politicians/ teachers/ and all others involved have gone ballistic on this group of voters. People must act on the straight and narrow or it is shaming and loss of career. Now that does not mean I promote people who talk like asses. But they are not perfect and screw up. We are heading towards what the communists do in their nations. No smiling in the streets. For everything is an offense. So to those who purchase weapons and have places hidden in the hinterlands and purchase survival supplies and precious metals, more power to them. They can survive something that goes down and lasts a few weeks or so. While many others will not.

Gun and ammo manufacturers don’t get the expanded profit margin, the gun stores get that. They do get expanded sales volume though.
And no. Political contributions is public knowledge, it would be a shitstorm suicide for any gun or ammo company to give large donations to Democrats.
