Skjold also revealed that authorities suspect the same person is behind both attempted fake nominations.

Olav Njolstad refused to give too many details about the forgeries or investigation, but he did seem to indicate that the person whose name was forged on the documents — that is to say an individual eligible to submit nominations for the prize— was contacted and confirmed that he/she did not submit the documents nominating Donald Trump.

The New York Times further explains that the forged name could belong to anyone from a head of state, to an individual lawmaker or cabinet minister, to a respected university professor or a prominent member of any number of prestigious international organizations.

And Trump did not just say there was an unnamed nomination, but named the prime minister of Japan as the person who nominated him, which could not be done if the nomination were fake.

That doesn't make any sense. As the article plainly states, the name of the person submitting the nominee was faked, as was his forged signature. The article also plainly states that authorities have already spoken to the person whose name and signature we're forged on the nomination, and they confirmed it is a forgery. Which you might have known, had you actually read the article before commenting.

And Trump did not just say there was an unnamed nomination, but named the prime minister of Japan as the person who nominated him, which could not be done if the nomination were fake.

There are no more launches or nuke tests because they have the tech developed to the point where they feel it will work.

As far as sanctions? Trump hasn't made any new ones against N. Korea, all of the current ones in place were put there by Obama.

And, it is coming out of N. Korea, that Un didn't ask for all sanctions to be lifted, he asked for SOME sanctions to be lifted so his people could eat. Trump said no, and that is when Un walked.

Interestingly enough, even though the negotiations didn't go as expected, Un and N. Korea still got something out of the deal. Trump permanently cancelled military exercises between S. Korea and the US. Trump said it was because it was too expensive, but, I think it's a way for him to try to appease Un.

On the first trip, Trump gave Un recognition as a nuclear world leader, and he cancelled the joint S. Korea/US military exercises that were scheduled to happen a couple of weeks before the meeting.

On the second trip, Trump has given them further recognition as a nuclear power, and has shown that some kid from a backwater hermit kingdom can out negotiate him, because now Un not only has recognition as someone who can stand up to the US, but he also got Trump to permanently cancel S. Korea/US military exercises.
