The Proper Usage Of The Term 'Fascism'

Um.....what, Alex Jones' facebook ban?

And again, you ignore Dictatorship in fascism.

You ignore the forcible suppression of opposition in fascism (spoiler alert....not a facebook ban)

You ignore the belligerant nationalism of fascism.

You ignore the regimenation of the economy and society under fascism.

And you ignore the state sponsored racism that is so often a part of fascism.

You've literally ignored *every* defining tenet of fascism. And then laughably pretend to tell us how to 'properly' use a term you have no comprehension of.

As I've said, you simply have no idea of what you're talking about.

BTW....as there are so very many things you don't know, here's another: Hitler and the Nazi Party openly admitted that Progressives and the Democrat Party served as models for their policies.

Why don't you challenge me to prove that.

I've challenged you to stop ignoring the meaning of fascism.

You ignore the forcible suppression of opposition in fascism.

And you've failed every time. Literally just making up your own imaginary definition and then insisting that what you make up is the 'proper' usage.

I don't think 'proper' means what you think it means. I'd direct you to the dictionary for its meaning too, but well, you know.

Declining the request twice leads one to believe that you recognize that the Nazi Party of Adolph Hitler proudly proclaimed that the Progressive Movement, and the doctrines of the Democrat Party, provided the model for Nazi programs and designs.

Now, you're dismissed.
Link?

Of course the Nazis were supported by the working Class because of their policies that were similar to today's socialist Progressive and liberal ideas like living wage good vacations employment for all those wanting it, Health Care daycare etcetera. Unfortunately the whole thing was a house of cards supported by the confiscation of Jewish and opponent assets and huge loans and debt that could only be paid back by Wars of Conquest.

What I said was that the Nazis proudly gave homage to the Progressive Movement, and the Democrat Party.

Would you like me to prove it, or will you admit it?

Will you admit that you've ignored the meaning of the term 'fascism'? That you've ignored dictatorship, belligerant nationalism, state sanctioned racism (often), regimentation of society and all industry, that you've ignored forcible suppression of opposition.

As every time I ask you where these defining characteristics of fascism are in the *real world* (not the wasteland of your imagination).....

......you tuck your tail between your legs and run.

I've explained it fully and correctly, and linked you to same.

Nope. You've fled every time I've asked you those questions. Every time I ask you to demonstrate the defining characteristics of fascism in the real world, you flee.

Where's the dictatorship of fascism? You can't say.

Where's the forcible suppression of opposition of fascism? You've got nothing.

Where's the belligerent nationalism of fascism? You run.

Where's the regimentation of the economy and society of fascism? Crickets.

Where's the state sanctioned racism common of fascism? You tuck your tails and flee.

You've ignored every defining tenet of fascism. And laughably failed to show us any of those characteristics that define fascism in the real world.

As I said before, cut and paste something for us. As you're clearly out of your depth.

You probably know I'm never wrong, and can prove everything I say.

Why Nazism Was Socialism and Why Socialism Is Totalitarian

Why Nazism Was Socialism and Why Socialism Is Totalitarian | George Reisman

1. ".... Nazi Germany was a socialist state, not a capitalist one. And ... socialism, understood as an economic system based on government ownership of the means of production, positively requires a totalitarian dictatorship.

2. ... the word "Nazi" was an abbreviation for "der Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiters Partei — in English translation: the National Socialist German Workers' Party ... what should one expect the economic system of a country ruled by a party with "socialist" in its name to be but socialism?

Sigh.....where's the *actual* totalitarianism? Where is the *actual* dictatorship? In the real world.

As remember, PC in the hysteria of her imagination insists that being a liberal means you're a fascist....TODAY.

And yet there's none of the defining characteristics of fascism that exist today in the US. No dictatorship. Not belligerent nationalism. No forcible suppression of opposition. No regimentation of all industry and society. Not even the state sanctioned racism that is common to fascism, and existed in our own past.

There's not a single defining characteristic of fascism in place today in the US. Including totalitarianism or authoritarianism.

Just obliterating PC's ridiculously ignorant claims.

Says the lass that continues to ignore the meaning of fascism and makes up her own.

In the right wing echo chamber, you can imagine whatever you'd like. Alas, in the real world your imagination defines nothing. And the dictionary defines the meaning of words:

Fascism: a governmental system led by a dictator having complete power, forcibly suppressing opposition and criticism, regimenting all industry, commerce, etc., and emphasizing anaggressive nationalism and often racism.

the definition of fascism

Your imagination vs. the Dictionary on the meaning of words has the same winner every time. Not you.

Paste something for us, PC. As you've clearly reached the limits of your utility.

  2. absolute, imperious, or overbearing power or control.
  3. the office or position held by a dictator.

And there is no dictatorship in the US. There is no belligerent nationalism. There is no state sanctioned racism (anymore, anyway). There is no strict regimentation of society or all industry. There's no forcible suppression of opposition.

Which just obliterates PC's imaginary claims regarding fascism.

When PC's definition of 'fascism' ignores the meaning of the term and ignores every defining characteristic of the term.....and when there's none of these defining characteristics in the US today, her argument is debunked.

As what she's describing isn't fascism. Nor does fascism exist in the US.

And social democrats haven't called for dictatorship. Or belligerent nationalism. Or state sanctioned racism. Or strict regimentation of all industry and society. Or forcible suppression of opposition.

Fascism…..the all-purpose invective.

Remember Rule #1: whatever the Left claims about the other side, that’s what they are guilty of.

Which brings us to the terms ‘fascism,’ and ‘fascist.’

Just yesterday, the dolt Paul Krugman, in what used to be a newspaper, claimed America was ready to be fascist because of Trump. Opinion | Why It Can Happen Here

See what I mean in Rule #1?

1.In his scholarly exegesis on Mussolini, David Ramsay Steele points out how ‘fascism’ is often used simply as a synonym for ‘I hate you.’

“More broadly, fascism may be defined as any totalitarian regime which does not aim at the nationalization of industry but preserves at least nominal private property. The term can even be extended to any dictatorship that has become unfashionable among intellectuals. [working-class Americans call it "Communism." Middle-class Americans, educated enough to understand that it's uncouth to say anything against Communism, call if "fascism."]

When the Soviet Union and People's China had a falling out in the 1960s, they each promptly discovered that the other fraternal socialist country was not merely capitalist but "fascist." At the most vulgar level, "fascist" is a handy swear-word for such hated figures as Rush Limbaugh or John Ashcroft who, whatever their faults, are as remote from historical Fascism as anyone in public life today.’
The Mystery of Fascism”
clip_image002.png

by David Ramsay Steele
The Mystery of Fascism by David Ramsay Steele

"fascist" is a handy swear-word for such hated figures.....such as Trump.

2. Well known liar, FDR, used it that way, and hatched a lie about successful business folks, and Republicans, based on a bogus definition of ‘fascist.’

He hated successful businessmen, and took every opportunity to lie about them and slander them, and by extension, Republicans.
Here he makes up a definition of fascism designed to indict entrepreneurs:

“The outfirst truth is that the liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerate the growth of private power to a point where it becomes stronger than their democratic state itself. That, in its essence, is Fascism—ownership of Government by an individual, by a group, or by any other controlling private power.”
Franklin D. Roosevelt: Message to Congress on Curbing Monopolies.

3. No it isn’t.

That’s not what fascism is. It is the unchecked growth of government power.

“Fascism (/ˈfæʃɪzəm/) is a form of radical authoritarian ultranationalism,[1][2] characterized by dictatorial power, forcible suppression of opposition and strong regimentation of society and of the economy,[3] which came to prominence in early 20th-century Europe.[4] The first fascist movements emerged in Italy during World War I before it spread to other European countries.” Fascism - Wikipedia

For a more contemporary application of the term 'Fascism,'...
...the collective over the individual, command and control regulation of private industry, and overarching government that can order every aspect of the private citizen's life....right down to control of his thoughts and speech.

Notice how it applies to Liberalism?

It is important to note that fascism may give the appearance of un-nationalized commerce and industry and private ownership, but it so heavily regulates both so that the government has total control over both. It also controls the media and suppresses religion, free speech, etc.

Which brings us to the current Administration that is dismantling as many onerous and controlling regulations as is reasonable and practical do for the benefit of the people and, via the tax code, is taking strides to encourage private ownership, entreprenourship, and citizens controlling as much of their own assets as possible, promotes religious freedom, has zero control over the media, etc?

In other words it is emulating the exact opposite of what fascism is.

So how would you characterize those who want to confiscate more wealth from the citizens, increase regulation, suppress thought, speech, religion etc. that is contrary to their goals, and has the media in their back pockets?

Yet when I checked the dictionary, neither 'totalitarian' nor 'authoritarian' was mentioned once in any definition.

Despite your ignorant insistences otherwise. You clearly didn't have the slighest clue what you were talking about.

As I said, no mention of dictators or dictatorship in the OP. No mentions of belligerent nationalism. No mention of state sanctioned racism in the OP. No mention of forcible suppression of opposition. No mention strict regimentation of society and all industry.

Every defining tenet of fascism is ignored by PC....with her imagination used in its place. And in defiance of all reason, you ignore the definition of the word and cling desperately to imagination.

Good luck with that.
