The real issue about Trump and Trumpcare is NOT what's in or out of the law

The issue is simply he got a bill through the House and Senate will now have to pass something. For Trump it's irrelevant whether people have or don't have coverage or whether it's affordable. It's irrelevant that the bill is actually the opposite of what he promised in the campaign. It's only relevant, aside from the people it will hurt, in that the gop House could actually pass a bill.

And the CBO hasn't scored this yet, but you can bet that it'll add billions to the deficits, because it's really a tax cut for the 1%. The senate may restore Medicaid money and increase the size of tax credits, but it won't be deficit neutral because the taxes have already been cut.

It's bad for the country whether you are a goper or dem, but it's good for Trump. And most likely it'll be bad for 20 or so gop House members

I agree it's bad for the country, but disagree it will be good for the Orange clown. He and the rest of the GOP now owns Universal Healthcare. The system will be clumsy and inefficient just like the VA system. Only difference- the VA system is bad for less than 10 million people, this system will be bad for everybody else. Oh yea, except for current, former and future members of congress. They will all still get the platinum planned all expenses paid.

Yes, but the Senate will have to pass something, and that's all Trump wants. What's actually in, or out, of the bill is irrelevant for his purposes. We know that House members didn't read the bill, it hasn't been scored by the CBO which used to be a "no no" for gopers, and the Medicaid cuts are directly contrary to what Trump campaigned upon. But a bill has been passed that changes Obamacare. So he can say he "won."

Doesn't sound so good, all around. IF it saves the bundle of money the GOP needs to get its tax cuts approved, though, half the country will be happy. Maybe we all will if it actually gets the economy rolling. Some of us may die due to lack of health care, but will that actually be any different than things were 10 years ago?
That's how some people look at it.

The irony of this is beautiful. Peloser standing up and whining about passing a bill that she didn't get to read first. Then Blah blah CBO blah blah tattoo blah.
In case you don't remember, Obomb handed the CBO a bill with all the figures left blank. The CBO couldn't crunch the figures. There were none. So they publicly announced that the way the bill was presented to them, it would be affordable.

What an idiot!

Word. It's all for show . Just like the 60x they floated Aca repeals when the gop was the minority.

the House defunded Obama care 60 times ... now it's 61 ?

throw it on the wall and see if it sticks ... typical Paul Ryan politics.

They seem pretty confident and energized after that health care vote yesterday.

Dem's destroyed their entire party with Obamacare, a bill so unpopular Dem's forced Obama to go on national tv and take the blame for it...and now they plan to make Obamacare the rallying cry in 2018?:laugh::laugh:

This is going to be a PR disaster for Republicans. I can see the campaign commercials now. Show a rich person getting thousands of dollars in tax cuts and show a person who lost their health insurance due to Trumpcare and are struggling because of it. The House will likely go in 2018 and the White House in 2020.

Obamacare is more popular than Donald Trump. It is also more popular than Trumpcare.

Exactly. The gop just did what the dems did. albeit the Dems really tried to offer universal care. The gop merely had to give Trump a bill .. any bill would do.
