The trouble with Trump’s jurors shows the results of a post-truth society

Come on, you’re smart enough to know that’s laughable….some have admitted as much…

do better…
"of the original 96 jurors, half were instantly excused because they openly admitted to being biased against Trump."

Lot's of people don't like him. Rightly so. What's your point?

BTW, I especially liked the person who had a picture of Trump and Obama on a social media post with the heading, "Orange is the new black?"

The documentary evidence alone is overwhelming proof of his guilt. Add to that the first hand witness testimony making acquittal unlikely unless a Trump cultist made it past the screening process.

Trump potentially committed a misdemeanor by falsifying legal documents. The rest of Braggs significant charges are a stretch at best.

Really Slade3200

Show us all the other defendants accused of misdemeanor corporate records violations that had them bumped up to felonies on a federal campaign finance issue that Bragg has charged.

The list should be long, right?
Hey Slade3200 I guess you have admitted you are full of shit since you cant show a single previous example.

Hey, that's a start. It's more than most cultists will admit to. To what end were the documents falsified?

Survey of Past New York Felony Prosecutions for Falsifying Business Records

A core crime that the Manhattan District Attorney will likely include in an indictment of former President Donald Trump is “falsifying business records in the first degree,” a felony under New York State law (N.Y. Penal Code § 175.10). Prosecutors and indeed all of us are compelled by the rule of law to consider how such a charge compares to past prosecutions. Are like cases being treated alike?

Here it appears they are. Prosecution of falsifying business records in the first degree is commonplace and has been used by New York district attorneys’ offices to hold to account a breadth of criminal behavior from the more petty and simple to the more serious and highly organized. We reach this conclusion after surveying the past decade and a half of criminal cases across all the New York district attorneys’ offices.

Nah, giving in to tantrums doesn’t work for two year olds, nor leftists like you.

You want us to cave to all your wild notions, and beliefs, while denying our own, and let you run amok…I say no.

it’s about time for a time out for you destroyers.
You’re delusional. Just live your life and take a break from your propaganda media bubble. It’s got you all mixed up

  • The People of the State of New York v. Josue Aguilar Dubon, AKA Saady Dubon, AKA Alejandro Ortiz (October 2022) — Bronx business owner indicted for failing to report over $1 million in income, avoiding paying $60,000 in taxes.
  • The People of the State of New York v. Scott Kirtland (February 2022) — Insurance broker indicted for allegedly creating/filing fraudulent certificates of liability insurance to further scheme to defraud.
  • The People of the State of New York v. James Garner (November 2021) — Mental health therapy aide indicted for allegedly defrauding over $35,000 in workers’ compensation benefits.
Just a few examples of other cases similar to Trump's where falsification of docs was in pursuance of another crime.

Obviously to avoid the negative consequences. Would it hurt him politically? Most certainly. Would it also hurt him personally? Most certainly. That is the crux of the issue. A reasonable person can recognize this, thus why if there are any reasonable people on the jury, he will be acquitted.

Also, Cohen acted as more than just his campaign attorney. Had Cohen’s retainer been designated solely for Trump’s campaign, the prosecution may have a better case, however, Cohen was a Trump attorney since 2006.

The chances of anyone anywhere in America getting a fair and impartial jury is extremely low if the person on trial is at least somewhat famous, or the trial is over a large issue.

The MSM is a breeding ground and cesspool for bad information, lies, propaganda, half truths, opinion stated as fact, missing information and so on. And it's allover the place constantly.

Social media is also a corrupt source of information because it throws in the wild card of the public being allowed to interject themselves into everything. They are even worse than the MSM because they have 0 accountability for anything, know even less than the news knows, are running around with irrational emotions fueling them and hatred, and they spew it out everywhere they go. Worse yet, people base their facts and opinions on what some random internet stranger says with no proof, and they are constantly on social media.

Trump will never get a fair trial just like Derek chauven never did because our society everyone is plugged into everything, they all have opinions based on no knowledge, they been taught to be radical, and to just hate and follow along with what the others are saying.

Instant opinions are a very real thing now.

What other crimes is he being accused of? Wasn’t former Democratic candidate John Edward’s acquitted with similar accusations?

It was a hung jury. The DoJ could have tried to prosecute again, but didn’t. There was problems with the evidence, including the fact that the donors had already died and couldn’t be called as witnesses.

But you do a good job pointing out that at least we are consistent in seeing this prosecuted.

Are any of you Trump defenders smart enough to realize he doesn't ask for things like a new judge or a change of venue because he thinks the requests are justified. He asks for them because he knows they'll be rightly denied which in turn allows him to make specious claims of unfair treatment in order to rile up his supporters.

Cohen was not just Trump’s campaign attorney and had been so a decade prior to this run for President. Trump had interests outside of his campaign to keep this secret. Those two things alone are enough to acquit him, easily.
