There will be secession and Civil War in the US --- if we invade Syria

There will be secession and probably a civil war here, but it won't be over Syria.

No there won't. Over anything.

Well, we are becoming quite divided.

Liberals really seem to believe that all Republicans are evil and are out to destroy the world. Republicans think similarly about all Democrats.

I don't think the political climate was like this 40 years ago, though I wasn't around back then and can't speak from experience.

You're daft!

No one will take part in open insurrection in the United States so long as we are safe, secure, educated and fed. Insurrection comes from desperation, not from suggestions by talk radio hosts or morons on message boards. You don't know what you're wishing for if you wish civil war on the United States. There won't be a trailer park left for you to hide in if you ever committed insurrection.

A trailer park to hide in? Wow you freaking progressives are in high bigotry mode today.

As if residents of the upper east side of Manhattan, Palm Springs and As[en foment insurrection. That idea springs from the under educated, the inept, the weak minded and the intellectually frustrated.

I'm hearing all the chatter and channels among the Free Men in the United States. Secession, blanket nullification and Civil War within the United States is at hand if the Hybrid Progressive/Neocon Leviathan starts World War 3

They didn't do anything when we invaded Iraq or Afghanistan or attacked Libya or helped the radical Muslims in Egypt. They didn't do anything when the Supreme Court eliminated private property rights in New London or when they passed Obamacare and gave government control over our bodies.

What is your theory they will act now based on?

I think the channels that 2nd is talking about have really just exploded in only the past 2-3 years. I think it's all relatively new.

I don't expect secession or civil war, but I do know that a majority of americans are getting fed up with our incompetent government, our incompetent marxist president, and our incompetent pussy congress.

The next two elections will determine if the US will remain a free representative democracy or become a marxist collectivist copy of failed european socialism.

We are on the brink, the founders are rolling in their graves, be concerned, be very concerned.

It has never been like this since the civil war. Obama is the most divisive president since Lincoln.

Agree he hasn't done much of anything (that I've seen) to turn this trend around.

Personally though, I think the ultimate blame lies with the media.

As the President was re-elected less than a year ago, I doubt your concern about him. Incompetent congress? No argument here! But everyone re-elects THEIR congressman while bitching about the other guys.

I can't envision someone picking up an assault rifle and aiming at an American soldier because he thinks that Social Security is unconstitutional!

We are NOT ON THE BRINK OF ANYTHING other than being driven crazy by the outrageous political claims of the non-thinkers.

Was the South unsecure? Were they in danger? were they uneducated? Were they hungry?

None of those things caused our last civil war. Why on earth would they cause the next one?

I don't know about you, but this division of left/right in our country is getting rather heated and serious.

Both sides no longer just disagree with the other. Now both sides consider the other side eternally "evil", stupid, etc. some of the language I hear coming from the likes of CONGRESSPEOPLE (even) is just downright disturbing.

Well, the end of slavery threatened their way of life/ existence, right?

History says otherwise. Through the history of the world Countries, States, Empires, every one has devolved into conflict to either cease or be reborn The United States of America has devolved into conflict before. We were reborn after the civil war. The order of the government changed. Not everything, but there was significant change. The power of the Federal Government was increased.

If there remains a class of American who think that keeping humans in bondage is the right thing to do, let them start insurrection. The issue is settled.

The whole reason for the south seceding in the 19th century was based on the vilest aspects of humanity. They deserved defeat and ignominy and there is NOTHING about that 'culture' to find pride in. Nothing. Their backs were up against history and they refused to see the obvious.

we can have a revolution every two years - for the most part we choose not to.

still, gotta love that right to vote.

Lincoln was a progressive too.

That would have been difficult since the Progressive movement started nearly 30 years after he was murdered.

you minimal knowledge of history is noted. There were slaves in the northern and western states, not just the south. Not all southerners held slaves or believed in slavery, many were violently opposed to it and helped slaves escape.

your partisan regional talking points make you look foolish------and ignorant.
