This country is doomed, not just because African Americans, but because the country will be minority white by 2040??????

Greatness by the best must be achieved. And that ain't happening at this point. We are lowering standards more and more. Even if they are above average. Excellence must be achieved for outstanding ways of living. But you can spout racism.
This exactly. The leftists, in order to make everyone “equal,” are holding back the best and brightest by abandoning Gifted programs, advanced math classes, AP, etc.

We are racists because we don't agree that race should be at the forefront of every discussion and decision? Interesting. Looks to me like a little self-reflection is in order.
Yes. And as much as leftists want us to think so, racism is NOT the highest priority in the country….not by far…..and viewing everything through a prism of “whites oppressors; blacks oppressed” will destroy everything, including the strength of our military and the ability to defend ourselves against enemies.

Awww...your delicate feefees got hewt

I love how you claim that your family climbed out of poverty with no government help whatsoever.
Then you claim that "some whites" can do this so most blacks should be able to...ignoring the fact that "some blacks" do climb out of poverty just as your family supposedly did.

You "bitch" are a blatant racist.

Own it. It's you and it's disgusting

Sure, more white people get a better start than African Americans, and Asians and Hispanics. Asians tend to do pretty well in this country and do not benefit from programs like AA. My wife's family started with virtually nothing as immigrants who spoke no English and have done quite well. They are staunch Republicans. Success in this country has far, far more to do with hard work and choices than anything else, including race and gender. Maybe if the left would start concentrating on that instead of the constant belly-aching they may see a real change in their outcome.

Do you think there's even a chance that the racists on this thread even read that no less tried to process it??
I doubt it. They want to live in a world that does not exist in order to be victims.

Your first sentence says “let me explain how whites got where they are.” I assume you would agree that all whites are not successful or rich. Logic dictates that if that is the case, there is something other than being white than contributes to success and that many whites that have not been successful have been , in some cases, unlucky or, in most, made bad choices. I have always been of the mindset that you make your own luck.
The policies I state were made to benefit all whites. No white person was excluded. If they did not make it, it is not because they didn't have the opportunity. This is not about all whites being rich, that has never been said by me. It is about all whites being able to get access to government assistance that blacks and others of color were denied.

If you've lost just play the race card.
You guys do it all the time. You tried it with this thread. Come to find out that you left out words Biden spoke to make up a lie. Then you tried calling him a racist.

Asians have not only benefitted from AA, the highest eaeningAsians generally have benefitted from the H1B visa program. Sucess starts with opportunity and racism denies that opportunity.

If historical racism accounts for 100% of the failures among black people, it doesn’t explain why Jews (on average) are more successful than the average American. They certainly have been subjected to horrific bigotry - the most bone-chilling within the lifetimes of those still here - and yet, they rose above it.

It tells you that more is involved in becoming successful than whether one’s people have been horribly persecuted. There are individual choices and personality traits. All the successful elderly Jews I know, who grew up in the backdrop of the Holocaust and in NYC tenements, have college degrees - and not a one had a baby until married and able to support him.

It’s not just that Asians do not benefit from programs like A.A. They are discriminated against by it. By lowering standards for blacks, Asians who otherwise would have been admitted find themselves turned away.

And wasn’t it Harvard, desperate for a reason that they were discriminating against Asians, that said that were “too serious” with their studies? You know that a college is clutching at straws when it rejects Asians for taking their education too seriously!

And THIS is what liberals don‘t want to admit: that when you favor blacks, you do so at the expense of whites. Or worse, and as we’ve seen on this forum, they DO admit it and say “it’s payback time, baby!” to whites.

My wife was wait-listed for a top-flight medical school while her college roommate, who was an African American, got in. She was not upset because she liked her roommate and was happy for her, but just imagine how this affects those that didn't get into medical school at all due to these policies. Affirmative action is discrimination in the name of diversity with a PC twist. That twist is enough to fool folks like JoeB.

I agree, except that the only substantial amount of racism is being perpetrated by Democrats and their programs. White people are denied opportunities to succeed due to programs like AA as are Asians not getting into top schools due to quotas.

Then you're also a racist low end white piece of shit.

ILMAO @ Jane Doe, you just did it again.

How does a PROG defend their false positions when nothing else will do?

What's leftists have the mentalities of spoiled young children Alex, just flash the race card, for $1000.

White racism created a dysfunctional country that has wasted massive amounts of human resources and created an unnecessary multi trillion dollar defict. If this was a business whites would be fired.

On October 24, 2013, the Kellogg Foundation sent out a press release about a report they had done entitled, “The Business Case for Racial Equity”.

“Striving for racial equity – a world where race is no longer a factor in the distribution of opportunity – is a matter of social justice. But moving toward racial equity can generate significant economic returns as well. When people face barriers to achieving their full potential, the loss of talent, creativity, energy, and productivity is a burden not only for those disadvantaged, but for communities, businesses, governments, and the economy as a whole. Initial research on the magnitude of this burden in the United States (U.S.), as highlighted in this brief, reveals impacts in the trillions of dollars in lost earnings, avoidable public expenditures, and lost economic output.”

The Kellogg Foundation and Altarum Institute

In 2011, DEMOS did a study named “The Racial Wealth Gap, Why Policy Matters”

“The U.S. racial welth gap is substantial and is driven by public policy decisions. According to our analysis of the SIPP data, in 2011 the median white household had $111,146 in wealth holdings, compared to just $7,113 for the median Black household and $8,348 for the median Latino household. From the continuing impact of redlining on American homeownership to the retreat from desegregation in public education, public policy has shaped these disparities, leaving them impossible to overcome without racially-aware policy change.”

“Eliminating disparities in homeownership rates and returns would substantially reduce the racial wealth gap. While 73 percent of white households owned their own homes in 2011, only 47 percent of Latinos and 45 percent of Blacks were homeowners. In addition, Black and Latino homeowners saw less return in wealth on their investment in homeownership: for every $1 in wealth that accrues to median Black households as a result of homeownership, median white households accrue $1.34; meanwhile for every $1 in wealth that accrues to median Latino households as a result of homeownership, median white households accrue $1.54.”

“If public policy successfully eliminated racial disparities in homeownership rates, so that Blacks and Latinos were as likely as white households to own their homes, median Black wealth would grow $32,113 and the wealth gap between Black and white households would shrink 31 percent. Median Latino wealth would grow $29,213 and the wealth gap with white households would shrink 28 percent.”

“If public policy successfully equalized the return on homeownership, so that Blacks and Latinos saw the same financial gains as whites as a result of being homeowners, median Black wealth would grow $17,113 and the wealth gap between Black and white households would shrink 16 percent. Median Latino wealth would grow $41,652 and the wealth gap with white households would shrink 41 percent.”

“Eliminating disparities in college graduation and the return on a college degree would have a modest direct impact on the racial wealth gap. In 2011, 34 percent of whites had completed four-year college degrees compared to just 20 percent of Blacks and 13 percent of Latinos. In addition, Black and Latino college graduates saw a lower return on their degrees than white graduates: for every $1 in wealth that accrues to median Black households associated with a college degree, median white households accrue $11.49. Meanwhile for every $1 in wealth that accrues to median Latino households associated with a college degree, median white households accrue $13.33.”

If public policy successfully eliminated racial disparities in college graduation rates, median Black wealth would grow $1,313 and the wealth gap between Black and white households would shrink 1 percent. Median Latino wealth would grow $3,528 and the wealth gap with white households would shrink 3 percent. “

If public policy successfully equalized the return to college graduation, median Black wealth would grow $10,786 and the wealth gap between Black and white households would shrink 10 percent. Median Latino wealth would grow $5,878 and the wealth gap with white households would shrink 6 percent.”

Eliminating disparities in income—and even more so, the wealth return on income—would substantially reduce the racial wealth gap. Yet in 2011, the median white household had an income of $50,400 a year compared to just $32,028 for Blacks and $36,840 for Latinos. Black and Latino households also see less of a return than white households on the income they earn: for every $1 in wealth that accrues to median Black households associated with a higher income, median white households accrue $4.06. Meanwhile, for every $1 in wealth that accrues to median Latino households associated with higher income, median white households accrue $5.37.”

If public policy successfully eliminated racial disparities in income, median Black wealth would grow $11,488 and the wealth gap between Black and white households would shrink 11 percent. Median Latino wealth would grow $8,765 and the wealth gap with white households would shrink 9 percent.”

If public policy successfully equalized the return to income, so that each additional dollar of income going to Black and Latino households was converted to wealth at the same rate as white households, median Black wealth would grow $44,963 and median Latino wealth would grow $51,552. This would shrink the wealth gap with white households by 43 and 50 percent respectively.”

Now white racists can continue to lie to themselves or face the fact that our country is doomed unless shit changes and that means white racism must end or be reduced to a fringe element that has no role in decision making anywhere.
So this is America's future...

Whites have been given affirmative action since 1776. How many better qualified blacks have been passed over or denied since this nation started? Those like you don't consider that. My dad went to college when you only needed a high school diploma and had to clean floors while less qualified whites sat in offices. So I doubt your wife was passed over for that black woman, because I've heard this story here so many times yet it is documented that white women have benefitted most from AA and that you racists ae so adept at telling us that blacks are 13 percent of the population, but you wo't say that blacks are 5 percent of the doctors.
