Torture a US citizen?
What are your thought of drones killing US citizens?

Making a person who sole purpose in life is to kill/maim to drink water until he/she panics is not torture

what is your thought on preventing that person(s) from killing/maiming innocent civilians?
Using drones on US citizens?

Depends on the event
it would take a desperate event
Now
For the record, without terror, there is no reason for the discussion

I hate all of this mess. The root cause is the terror

Yes, this is why they found UBL years after they stopped torturing

You really need to do your DD on these events
And according to the justice dept, there was no "torture"

If you support that, you are evil. Never breed.

you have people who set an explosion to kill innocent people, maim them, change there lives for ever, no mention of them
And you attack a person who thinks we should do what it takes to protect YOU and YOUR faimly?
And you call me evil?
Really?
I find that rather strange that you would call me evil and ignore those who did the real hurt

All I am trying to do is prevent the next evil act

So who are you?

this is no game
defending people who do acts of terror while attacking those of us who think we should do what it takes to protect YOU and YOUR faimly from being attacked?
not a good time bud, not a good time
you might want to explain your hate for me and why you ignore those who those who try to kill us before someone else askes you that question

It was regular interrogation techniques that ultimately led to OBL. Not the torture techniques approved by the Bush administration.

Please specify the "torture techniques" you refer to. Do you consider any coercion to be torture, or should all terror suspects be given Miranda rights and advised to "lawyer up?"

Admittedly, this is a tricky question. "Insurrection" has been cited as a basis for withholding these rights, but it is difficult to define when it comes to small scale terrorism. Perhaps the wounding of multiple victims unrelated to a specific criminal objective should be included?

I think I will go with Franklin on this one. Those who give up liberty for security deserve neither.

Yes. I would give all accused criminals their Miranda rights (assuming their testimony is going to be used in court) and provide them with legal counsel.

Cool your jets a minute, Rambo.

The kid has been in serious condition with a major wound to his mouth and neck. The little communication he has been able to provide has been via pen and paper because he cannot speak. You don't know what information he has been able to provide. You don't know if he has refused to provide information.

Before we put him on the rack, maybe we should determine that he's refusing to cooperate, have you considered that?

1. Would you apply this to non-citizens, at home or abroad?

2. What if their testimony is NOT going to be used in court?

3. Do you think there should be any exigency (e.g., WMD) exceptions?

The ones shown in the tapes destroyed by the CIA.

1. At home... yes. Abroad... it wouldn't be our police or court system.

2. Miranda only applies if their testimony is going to be used. That is the point of Miranda. If you don't tell them anything they may say maybe be used against them, then it can't be used against them.

3. No.

"LIBS"???

Oh yeah. Because, as we all know, it was libs who wrote and signed the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES.

Bet you're one of those assholes who are against using drones on enemies of the US, right?

Yep. Thought so.

Idiot.
