On the hopeful side, if he refused to leave, there might be a sufficient number of people in the administration who would finally say "enough is enough, I won't be a part of this".

That is the plan......that is why the democrats are pushing mail in voting.

In the real world, if they wanted this to work they would set a future deadline and then do practice runs.......but they don't want it to work, they want to 1) have time to manufacture the votes they need to take control in various swing states, 2) cast doubt on the entire system if Trump wins again 3) throw out vast number of republican ballots by targeting republican majority zip codes.

That is what you are trying to do. Trump is losing and he knows it. Trump and you are trying to explain away a Trump loss. Democrats have took over in various swing states in 2018. That was largely in-person voting. A majority of voters support mail-in voting.

Why not simply request an absentee ballot now? Only lazy worthless people wouldn't.

Making a distinction between drop boxes and mail boxes truly boggles the mind. Apparently Trump is saying that there is something wrong with putting you absentee vote in a drop box. What kind of inanity is that.

Absolute bullshit. The democrats are the ones who wanted mail-in voting, even though health experts such as Faucci has stated having a secure election is safe. Now, obviously there is no reason to accept election before it is made sure that there is no fraud. This is just common sense.

What truly makes this ironic is the fact that democrats have not yet even accepted the 2016 election, and tried to remove president Trump on made up charges. It is far more likely that democrats are not going to accept the election and claim there was fraud because of mail in voting when president Trump wins.

That is right. They voted for someone who bring down the system. They are getting there wish. The peaceful transition of power is in jeopardy and these folks don’t care. Why should we be surprised why these people don’t care? They constantly write they would vote for Putin over a Democrat. Where their loyalties lie is no mystery.

Two things: First, their votes for Trump were a manifestation of the rage and frustration and paranoia that had been building for a couple of decades. This is how angry they were/are. And there is still enough of this for electoral wins.

Second, your final two sentences are only limited hyperbole. These people are not "conservatives" in the traditional sense. They have completely eschewed the foundations of "conservative values" and "small government". It turns out that THIS is what they ACTUALLY wanted ALL ALONG: A bold, authoritarian nationalist strongman who would rip things down and rebuild in their image.

There are still plenty of actual conservatives out there, but they've been largely marginalized. "RINOs".

The conservatives failed conserving anything - that which always loses does not survive.

Today's conservatives are far superior - having an actual plan on how to preserve the American values that created the best most prosperous nation ever created. Sometimes that involves using the government, when the enemy is very prepared to do so, and setting aside principles for a little while. There is no survival without winning. All conservatives did was lose with style - like in some of those old Samurai movies where the Samurais get pridefully gunned down, instead of inventing gun powder and defeating the enemy once and for all.
