Russia? Maybe no “conspiracy”, but he disregards the Russian hacking on USA activity (contrary to his own intelligence advisors) and shows support for Putin’s “friendship”. Is that naive, if not stupid?

In terms of taxes, our tax code is complex and 99% of the people cannot read a simple tax return let alone a complex one. His advisors are telling him that releasing will not help and by law he is not obligated to do so. Not saying it is right or wrong just giving the facts here.

He is not showing support for Putin’s friendship. As Collin Powell said and I paraphrase, in that role you have to shake the hand of a lot of bad people. He is trying to keep Putin somewhat contained and not to piss him off and cause more unrest than necessary. He has imposed sanctions, he armed the Ukrainians and he did kill 200 Russian mercs in Syria but publicly humiliating Putin doesn’t get you anything aside from pissing him off as he is very prideful being a former KGB assassin and tough guy. It’s not an easy situation. How would you handle it?

I understand the need to remain diplomatic with adversaries like Putin (and Kim), but to negate his intelligence reports on Russian hacking is irresponsible.

Although complicated, releasing taxes should not be a real problem if other presidents have done it too.

I think his distrust of the media has swayed him to do some unconventional things such as his taxes and his constant attacks on them. But he is very open with the economy, military spend, Israel relationship, anti Iran sentiment, trade wars. He is opening up very nicely there and my kids are learning a lot more about the world because of that. They are truly interested in understanding trade, strong vs weak dollar, etc. He makes politics fun...if that makes sense?

Because Mueller was conducting a witch hunt that went on for well over two years; much of it nothing to do with collusion. He hired all anti-Trump lawyers to do the investigations, so his motives were very clear.

Now what could be in Trump's tax returns that would have anything to do with his presidency? Professional politicians dream of being President one day. So they structure their taxes in the event they have to release them to the media one day; not because it's a law, but a demand by the media.

Trump more than likely doesn't have pretty tax returns with a bow on them. He took every deduction allowable by law and may have not given to charity as much as the public would like to see. So why should he release his returns? While Trump may have thought about running for President one day, I'm sure he never dreamed he would become President.

You agree that Trump cannot be trusted. He promised to release his taxes to quell any conflict of interest doubts, but he never intended to honor his promise.
