House Arrest will not prevent Trump from running for president. Typically people under House Arrest can go to work as well as other vital functions. The judge can allow Trump to attend campaign events such the convention, rallies, and debates. This all has to be planned and approved and he would have to wear ankle tracking bracelet and stick to a schedule. The 6 months of House arrest would end just before the inauguration. Probation is more flexible but Trump would be required to report to his probation officer per the terms of the sentence.Let me get this straight...you want to sentence the GOP candidate for President of the United States to 6 months of "house arrest"? Gee...how many months are left before the election? At least TRY and not be so obvious, Flopper!
Are you THAT afraid of Trump being able to campaign? I suppose that would preclude the debates? How about a gag order too?
I seriously doubt that punishing Trump for his crimes would lessen his support. In fact, it will likely help him. Trump supporters see Trump as the victim of an evil corrupt system. Electing him to the highest office in the land is a clear statement that his supporters demand a change that can come about only by authoritarian rule of a strong president.
