NIxon's big mistake was resigning. The Democrat coup against Nixon was successful. Now the Democrats think they can get away with it again.

Trump needs to be strong and hold out against the crazy Democrats. It's a good sign that McConnell has Trump's back.

He's already broken 1000% more laws than Nixon ever dreamed of doing.

And he's about to reap the consequences thereof.

The Dems are monitoring President Trump's every breath, they will try to impeach him for anything.

Not even Nixon thought he was above the law. He only thought he could get away with breaking the law. He knew when he was caught and he knew when to leave.

It led to a damaged America because it led to Carter becoming president. Trump can't let something like that happen again.

interesting concept: impeach first. find the facts later.

sounds like the media: write story first. verify later

"So we are all clear what's happening: House Democrats are supposedly beginning an impeachment inquiry, and building it on an anonymous secondhand complaint they haven't seen... which describes a call transcript that they haven't read. You can't make it up." - Marvelous Mark Meadows

Apparently you don't know jack shit about the Nixon resignation history. The Senate REPUBLICANS told Nixon the night before he resigned - that he was going to be impeached. Nixon resigned rather than being impeached by the Senate.

Forty years ago, a Republican delegation led by Barry Goldwater told Richard Nixon he had lost almost all his remaining support in Congress. The next day, he resigned.

Richard Nixon's resignation: the day before, a moment of truth

Trump has no choice in the matter. He holds power only because the constitution says so. The constitution also provides us with a mechanism to remove a president. It almost sounds as if you want him to disregard the constitution some more, much more.

Democrats don't understand we will stand behind Trump. He is doing what's right, he is protecting our heritage.

Myself, I want him to have a good laugh, a Butterfinger, and a campaign against a self-castrated adversary.

Dunno about the Butterfinger, but two out of three ain't bad.

This is not a reality show, it's reality. The reality is that Trump is in serious trouble and he is about to pull some stupid shit. He's probably going to attack Iran.

Nixon had both Republicans and Democrats ready to impeach

Today’s Republicans lack the moral integrity of Republicans in the 70s

Wishful thinking on your part. He is in no trouble at all.

No reason to attack Iran. Just put more weight on that knee on their neck.

He doesn't know jack, eh? The Senate doesn't impeach. The Senate tries impeached (or indicted) public officials. The House impeaches, and Trump hasn't done a damn thing for which to be impeached, let alone tried, you lunatic. You American-hating, communists bastards are driving this nation toward a civil war.

The reality here is that Trump is going to absolutely destroy whatever moron the Dems put up. Trump is in zero trouble. There is no whistleblower protection for this liar because this is all third hand hearsay. This "whistleblower" was not even in the room. Inadmissible as evidence for anything. Another fail and this just guaranteed a Trump win in 2020.

This is about real stench. And Bill and Hill are the champions. They lowered the bar to the subbasement. Trump has a long way to go to get there. He was vetted by the people before the election. Bill and Hill were partially vetted by the approving and gushing media before elected and the people knew little of them.

Trump is making some of the same mistakes Nixon made

Covering up, refusing to cooperate with Congress, abusing his office

They have not impeached yet

They are fact finding first. Trump claims to be above the law
