I don't trust that the eventually use of this so-called Space Force won't be to shoot lasers down and vaporize the 2nd amendment citizens along with their guns. Hopefully the NRA is working on a plan to counteract Trump's action and keep our government in check. Once we citizens totally give up the high ground, there'll be no stopping them.

A lot of the resources going into Space force are already existing though and are going to be reallocated . It will take the burden off of the Air Force to move into those other directions. If you think we are not eventually moving outward into space, I think your wrong.
Where I do think your right though, is a lot of people dont like Trump and wont give him credit for anything. Moving towards space is the eventual future for mankind. Future generations need to build off of what we start today.

We have been in space for 60 years. We do not need a space force.

If we want to deter an actual threat, we need a cyber force full of nerds and geeks. But that is not as sexy

What your overlooking is that you are not going to get those nerds and geeks to think about joining something like the Air Force or the Navy. But throw something out there like the Space Force and it becomes something of a marketing ploy, competing for those nerdy computer minds. Youll get volunteers in a way you would not otherwise have gotten.

This most likely did not start under the Trump administration. Government people probably have been kicking this around for a couple of decades. We have at least a trillion dollars in satellites and hardware in space. China and Russia have been developing offensive weapons and have tested them in space. The easy things we use and take for granted that have a relationship to anything in space will make us cranky if we lose that comfort.
