Trump sues CNN for $475 million for calling him insurrectionist, racist, Russian-lackey, & compared him to Hitler, to "defeat him politically"

Trump is like a teenage boy who just got informed halfway through this first date that “it’s just not working out. Can you take me home please?” Teen Trump not having the wherewithal to formulate a coherent thought blurts out “Yeah, well you’re fat!”

Trump fired DNI chief Dan Coats because he took steps to protect our elections from Russian cyberattacks. yes, Trump is a Russian asset. sue me!

Donald Trump is going after CNN in court -- alleging the network defamed him out of fear that he'll run for president again ... and he's asking for a boatload of cash over it.

This is simple...

CNN lawyer asks for deposition, Trump Lawyers shut up shop and go home...

Trump can go for the deposition but you can't plead the 5th a couple hundred times when you are the prosecutor...

Either way we get the tape of Trump under oath...

So please CNN lawyers ask for an immediate deposition... This doesn't even get to a SLAP lawsuit..

“If your idea of the leader of the free world is a boorish bouncer at a Staten Island strip club, here was your man(Trump). If you want an actual president—an empathetic, fact-based president from a reality you recognize—you probably liked Joe Biden. “—Joe Hagan

Hagan had worked in the White House for 14 years (including for George W Bush) before being hired by Trump in January 2017. he later turned on his boss

Who the sam hell is advising this moron? I mean first off, for a public person the bar is pretty damn high for defamation. But second, and most importantly, the number one defense against defamation is you can't be sued for telling the truth. Dumbass Trump has how opened the door for public litigation into claims he is a racist, an insurrectionist, Russian lackey that loved Hitler. What a damn fool.
CNN response should be:
  • They set up the 'CNN legal Fund'
  • They get some of the top comedians
    • Using parody ask for donations to fight the the evil Trump empire
  • They have an telethon with all the big names
    • Stewart and Colbert to host
  • Have a concert with all the big names
    • The Trump baby must appear
    • Alec Baldwin has to speak to the crowd (of course)
Give all the money to charity. It would be for a great cause and could be very funny.

Trump is suing over CNN repeatedly using the term…..The Big Lie

To win, he has to prove he was not lying

You can’t take the fifth in a Civil case, it only applies to criminal prosecution

Actually you can if the testimony in a civil case were about a matter that could lead to later criminal prosecution.

To remove the 5th Amendment protections of "claiming the 5th" then you would need to remove the possibility of criminal prosecution either through an immunity deal or pre-emptive pardon to forestall any future criminal prosecution.

Out of the many scandals that still should be plaguing the White House, his firing of Secret Service director Randolph “Tex” Alles is nothing compared to him disbanding the DHS Domestic Terror Unit just as 3 black churches get burned down within 10 days in a single Louisiana parish.

Trump soured on Alles instantly after hiring him, even making fun of his looks, calling him Dumbo because of his ears

at Trump's direction, Michael Flynn & Russian Ambassador Kislyak spoke 5 times in 2016 after Obama signed an executive order that announced sanctions against Russia for trying to interfere in the 2016 presidential election. Flynn promised that Trump would go easy on Russia when he takes office

yes, folks, he can sue all he wants, but Trump WAS/IS as Russian asset!

Look at the cult just blindly bash Trump without discussing the actual lawsuit.

You people are pathetic.

Who knows what will happen in the suit, but the cult isnt even discussing the case itself.

You guys just LOVE CNN. :auiqs.jpg:
The lawsuit will fail. He’s trying to sue CNN for exercising their first amendment rights. It will fail miserably.

If you want to discuss the lawsuit, then let’s discuss how much Trump hates the first amendment.

But it would funny...

Q: Mr. Trump do you think you have acted in a racist manner?
A: Plead the 5th...

Q:Mr. Trump Where you involved in the planning of Jan 6th riots?
A: Plead the 5th...

The case would be kind of over by then...

the first time Trump ever uttered the words "you're fake news" was at CNN's very own Jim Acosta

How has Trump acted in a racist manner? Hint: Not agreeing with everything the left says is not racist.

He wasn’t involved in PLANNNG the Jan 6th riots. That is just more fodder for the Democratic sheep.

Wow...............so now even Trump is saying that he lost the election.

From the OP's link.........................

Trump claims in his lawsuit, filed in US District Court in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., that the network had used its influence as a leading news organization to defeat him politically.

Trump has now said that he was defeated because of CNN's influence as a leading news organization. Sorry Trumpers, but even The Donald is saying he lost.
/----/ That's not what Trump is saying. It's post 2020 election, "The lawsuit lists several instances in which CNN appeared to compare Trump to Hitler, including a January 2022 special report by host Fareed Zakaria that included footage of the German dictator."

Funny thing is, in a criminal case the jury is instructed to to take any adverse view of someone pleading the 5th.

However in a civil case that is not true, the jury is free to take an adverse view of a plaintiff that then pleads the 5th regarding the case before them.

The media is free to choose sides. Since Pseudo-Con legend Ronnie Raygun halted the use of the Fairness Doctrine, the commentators are free to express their opinions without the need for the network to air opposing points of view. They can broadcast from an Neo-GOP perspective like Faux or more Dem friendly like MSNBC or CNN 24/7/365.
