Trump’s lawyers kicking butt so far in this first hour, pointing out Dem lies and hypocrisy

You may be ignorant of it, but The capitol police chief, and capitol police board were republicans. 2/3rds of the board were appointed by republicans, and they appoint the police chief.
Prove it.
Just google the capitol police organizational structure. The board which has 2/3rds of it's members appointed by republicans. Chose the police chief.

No. You made the claim. Back it up. You're a liar.

Trump has been talking about overthrowing the government since he said he said he wouldn't say whether he would accept the results of the election in 2016.

There is no Democrats do it too in impeachment of trump. The rump has no defense.
The Dems introduced falsified evidence and were caught.
Now Trump's lawyers are using their own words to indict them for the same offense they're accusing Trump of.
There's no evidence Trump incited violence.
There's a ton of evidence that Democrats did indeed incite violence on numerous occasions over the last 4 years.

Trump's January 6 speech celebrates democracy

<sob> But...But...what about the Democrats?

Has nothing to do with Trumps role in the Jan 6 attacks
It does point out the problems when the judge, jury, and prosecution team are all guilty of the same things the defendant is accused of doing.

Constitutionally there is a conflict of interest when Congress prosecutes those who attacked them

There is no reasonable alternative

Are you claiming that because Trump attacked Congress, that Congress is not allowed to impeach him because of a conflict of interest?
No, I'm saying it's extremely hypocritical of congresscritters that have openly incited their followers to do violence and have even bailed them out of jail when they did it to stand in judgement of a defendant accused of inciting violence. You might as well have Jeffry Dahmer as the judge, David Berkowitz as the prosecuting attorney and Charles Manson and Ted Bundy in the jury at John Wayne Gacy's criminal trial.

How much violence did all those "congresscritters" incite with their use of the "fight" word?

Why would he be talking about overthrowing the government when he was president?
Gee, Pudge. I guess you were never taught the the President isn't the complete government.

Why would he be talking about overthrowing the government when he was president?
Because Trump didn't accept that the people of the US threw him out of office because of his botching the coronavirus response.

If Trump couldn't win by getting more votes in the EC, then he would throw out those results, and use the 12th amendment to have congress elect him as president.

But to do that, he would have to stop the counting of the electoral votes by stopping it on January 6th.

And, of course, "fight" has many connotations, only a few of which are violent. A politician fights for office, no violence. A cancer patient fights for life, no violence. I teacher fights for her students, no violence. And so on.

These critters incited plenty with their open support of those using violence for "approved" ends, by setting up funds to bail them out when they got arrested for violence, and for encouraging their followers to get in people's faces and push them out of the public sphere. These are far more blatant, for example, than Sarah Palin who was excoriated for having a target symbol on a web page nobody saw, and if we're going to go after politicians for violent rhetoric, there are a lot of them that should be looking over their shoulders.

What Trump showed to everyone in that the term "republican" often has no meaning.
Especially in Washington DC. Look at the Lincoln Project scum.
They are virulently anti Trump and virulently anti populist. They are a curse on the nation.
