I have a degree in European studies, emphasis in history and a law degree. Completely irrelevant to the conversation. But I guess having a couple of pieces of paper means I know everything there is to know on a subject and cannot be contested.

What's amusing about it is a masters of history is pretty much useless in talking about European history if your emphasis was say American or Asian history. Can't really make any claims to authority without emphasizing what specialty his history degree was in.

Someone keeps electing the same people over and over again. There is no greater form of trust you can bestow upon someone (outside of your family) than to vote for him or her...

If you vote for someone, you, by definition, trust them to some degree. When you return the same people over and over again, you are demonstrating trust to a much greater degree.

Americans, by and large, love their Congressman....otherwise we'd have 75% turnover at minimum every 2 years.
