The "little stunt" that Nunes pulled has resulted in the discovery that the FBI imbedded an FBI agent in the Trump campaign to spy on Trump.
That's called treason.
The name of the FBI spy is about to be made public.
That's why the FBI has been trying to stonewall the Congress for months.
Only after Rosenstein was threatened with contempt did he let Nunes and Gowdey look at the evidence.

One wonders what is the motivation behind Nunes demands? He is putting American lives in danger with these actions.

They said the same thing about the other documents they refused to give up without redaction....then, when forced to give up the documents without redactions...no secrets were exposed, and it turns out they were just trying to hide embarrassing things about the FBI.....
