US Scientist warn of dire consequences of Climate Change

After reading all of that, I got to wondering about the recent temperature history of the US. I went to NOAA’s Climate At A Glance, got their recent monthly data, and graphed it up, along with the dates of the four US National Climate Assessments. Here’s that result:

As you can see, since the First US National Climate Assessment some 18 years ago, the US average temperature has gone up by … well … about zero degrees Celsius. Or for Americans, it’s gone up by … well … about zero degrees Fahrenheit.

The boys over at NOAA are perplexed as to why the great pause has returned.. they cant figure it out...

There is no real proof that man made CO2 is a significant contributor to global warming. The thing to worry about is all that methane gas hydrate sitting in big clunks at the bottom of the ocean. Methane is as about a thousand times more potent as a greenhouse gas than CO2.

I suspect that if Yellowstone erupts the consequences to the climate will cause the death of about a forth to a third of all humans on earth.

This solar minimum we are just now entering will probably result in the premature deaths of several million people over the next decades as food production decreases because of shorter growing seasons.

And yet major companies are tying like hell to figure out a way to harvest that substance for use in heating and other energy uses... IF they figure out a viable way to harvest that our energy use and stock pile would become thousands of years...
