More election tampering from the criminal dems.

Clinton Friend Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe Restores Voting Rights for 206,000 Felons - Including Convicted Murderers - Breitbart

april 22 2016 In a move called “unprecedented” by the Richmond-Times Dispatch, Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe signed a sweeping order that grants 206,000 convicted felons voting rights just months before the presidential election.

McAuliffe’s order extends to non-violent and violent felons, including convicted murderers and rapists, an expert told the New York Times.

McAuliffe couched his move in terms of social justice and civil rights, having compared felon disenfranchisement to a poll tax. The order will likely boost black voter turnout in a critical swing state that could deliver Hillary Clinton — one estimate provided to the New York Times claimed as many as one in five blacks in Virginia lost their right to vote after being convicted for committing felonies.

McAuliffe worked as Clinton’s campaign chair in 2008 and has not ruled out serving as her running mate in 2016.

War needs to be declared on liberals, they have to be destroyed once and for all.

What happened to the concept of paying your debt to society? Why is that lost on Conservatives?

But, then again, when have Conservatives been big supporters of the right to vote? Any chance to erode suffrage is not lost on a Conservative.

Virginia governor grants voting rights to over 200,000 ex-cons

Democrats are the criminal party and they've always had the problem that so many of them have been convicted of crimes and are not legally allowed to vote. So Governor McCauliffe, following the tyrannical example of our Dictator-in-Chief, has signed a sweeping executive order undoing Virginia state law that makes it illegal for felons to vote.

The problem is, once felons are voting, who knows what else they will demand. It is already true that felons in Virginia will be allowed to serve as notaries. As an attorney, I can assure you that notaries with a felony record are an unmitigated disaster. Notary is a position of trust, and one dishonest notary can do untold financial and/or legal damage to others. For example, a notary is necessary to sign off on transfers of valuable property. Now any felon can do this.

Article doesn't says all civil rights are restored but i really doubt if that includes gun rights. Liberals want poor people voting but not toting.

Criminals in prison can vote in my state, yes, behind bars they can cast a vote, like all other citizens could do in the USA BEFORE Black men were given the right to vote, (after the Civil War with the Amendments to the constitution that followed)....prisoners while behind bars could cast their vote in elections....until the 1870's or so, when initially southern states trying to disenfranchise Black men of their vote, changed the laws on their books to not allow prisoners to vote.

If a prisoner has served his time and his out in good standing, let him vote. I am not sure that Maine is squared away in letting cons behind bars vote. But, hey, guards in prisons vote and lobby for stiffer sentences so they guarantee their jobs, so let the felons vote.

This:

Virginia State Police - Restoration of Firearms Rights

Looks like one of the steps to getting your right to own a firearm back is to have your political rights restored. So, you have to be eligible (not registered though) to vote before you get your guns back. So..you know, it took 30 seconds to find.

They think all ex-offenders will ‘vote democrat’ – but you knew that already.

Setting aside the idiocy believed by conservatives as for whom ex-offenders might vote, this is yet another manifestation of the reprehensible right, that they would seek to deny citizens their right to vote for some perceived partisan advantage.

Ex-offenders have served their sentence in accordance with the rule of law, and having served that sentence they are allowed to rejoin society and participate as citizens, including exercising the right to vote.

Most on the right would seek to extend that sentence, in conflict with the rule of law, and subject ex-offenders to further punishment absent due process, by denying them the right to vote.
