The federal government doesn't have total control over these states, but certainly has quite a bit of influence. Each state, not each individual, should have a say in the federal government's leadership since it directly affects them. The ONLY reason Democrats are for this system is because they know they have a huge advantage in population in the urban, indoctrination centers, not to mention the millions of migrants that they would love to provide citizenship. Democratic politicians only want power. They couldn't care less about the direction of the country. When will you people wake up? Don't bother answering, that is a rhetorical question.
