Well, I guess she has a point -- Pregnant Texas woman stopped for driving solo in HOV told police ...

Why the laws were written are irrelevant, how they were written is all that matters.

The way they were written there has to be two people in the car, that is all the law stipulates.

According to Texas law the baby is a "people".

It is a person but not a passenger.

Who can use the HOV lane?

A vehicle occupied by two or more people
or a motorcyclist may use HOV lanes. Vehicles eligible to use HOV lanes include, but are not limited to:

  • passenger cars
  • pickup trucks
  • vans
  • buses
  • motorcycles
  • emergency vehicles responding to a call
Note: Hybrid vehicles with single occupants are not allowed in HOV lanes.

The police offices job is to enforce the law, not enforce the law based on his or her prediction of the outcome. A judge may throw it out, he may give her whatever the max is. Like her, maybe the judge has a point he'd like to make as well.

The cop indicated it wasnt the law when he told the lady she would likely get it overturned.

Great, then let this bimbo fight it and see where it gets her.

She should still have to pay a fine.

We all know carpool lane is for actual drivers to combine passengers to cut down on the amount of cars on the road and such. A unborn child wouldn't otherwise be driving.

I'd ticket her just for being smarmy and thumbing her nose at the rules.

It does not matter what they are "for", it matters how the law was written.

The better point to be made should be the one that clearly shows just how fucked in the head baby killing filth actually is…..Here, I’ll show you.
...
Diversion won't work. Anti abortion zealots fought vigorously to change the laws so that fetuses are considered people. And, in Texas, they got their way. Now we get to see the ridiculous repercussions.

“Now we get to see the ridiculous repercussions.”
hahaha….a filthy leftist freak in Dallas pulls some typical leftist bullshit and now we pretend there’s “repercussions”…..hahaha….fuck the dirty whore, expose her filthy ass and put protesters on her doorstep.

You can't convince these bozo leftists of that. They know what the full intent of the law is just like the judge does when she goes to court. But you know how leftists are.

:lastword1:

Yes it is, but it's not taking the second seat in the vehicle as the officer said. That's what they require
Texas law doesn't allow more than one person per seat. All occupants younger than eight years old, unless they are taller than 4 feet 9 inches must be secured in an approved car seat.
