Your state and local governments have much more impact on your day to day life; most laws you’re subject to are state laws.

Federal laws are enacted by Congress, not the president, and at least the House will remain controlled by republicans come next January, meaning gridlock will continue for the foreseeable future.

You do, you must do, what I am doing. Vote for the candidate that has a chance of winning and will definitely piss off both sides of the aisle. Any vote other then for Trump is a vote for Mrs. Tuzla. We can not have another Obama clone in the presidency.

Republicans had that option with Ron Paul twice, and Rand Paul this time around. Instead they nominated the most liberal candidate running three times in a row. Republican voters are retarded.

I said it repeatedly in USMB: the most important consideration in voting for a candidate is who they will pick for the Supreme Court. That's it in a nutshell.

Whether you pick Trump or Clinton, either has a challenge ahead of them with Congress and Senate. And even if they do things you don't like with the Congresses help, you can vote them out next election.

But Supreme Court justices are there until they retire or die. What they decide the Constitution says will last for generations. And when they make those decisions, it doesn't matter who the President is.

So to help in your decision making, ask yourself who will pick the proper SC justices that will decide on our laws in this land. We don't know who Trump will actually nominate although he's brought up some names. But we do know what kind of justices Hillary will put in that court. And those nominations will likely support the disarming of law abiding citizens, the promotion of socialism, and the advancement of big government in our lives.

You need to vote. Write in a vote, if need be.

If you don't vote, it will be interpreted by both parties as apathy. If you vote for the "lesser of two evils", you are telling the lesser evil he/she is doing something right, which is the LAST thing you want to communicate to evil.

Yes it is. Do you know how much asbestos is in a worn out brake pad? Or one that is solid & undisturbed?
The bullshit hoops I have to jump through when handling old asbestos products on rehab projects is absurd. Safety suits, plastic confinement, ventilation, disposal, licencing....etc. All for a project in an EMPTY HOUSE.

I think most of your Founding Fathers apparently thought if you didn't defend your rights you didn't deserve them. Rumors are about that delegates are trying to rewrite the rules to select another candidate, and I imagine there's going to be a major floor fight at the Republican convention. Mitch McConnell stated months ago, that they would drop Trump like a hot rock. The problem is, if they did that they don't have the sacrificial lamb candidate to do it with. No one is wanting to do this. Paul Ryan said no, Mitt Romney said he would need to be drafted by the party to do it, and many don't want Ted Cruz. Many of the delegates want someone that wasn't involved in this campaign season. So we'll see what happens. But delegates & their families are already being threatened by Trump supporters to not try anything.

Personally I am going to go with Hillary Clinton. I changed my party status from Republican to Independent. I agree with millions of other Republicans, that Hillary Clinton is the best choice for this country. IOW I am voting for country, not the party. Frankly the more I read about her, the more I like her. She has a lot of praise coming in from Republicans that have worked with her in the past. I no longer fear her Presidency or what she will do or not do.

I don't want to ban anything. I like that my mechanic is protected from breathing asbestos when he changes my brake pads. I like that my health insurer can no longer drop me if I get too costly for them.

You vote 3rd party or write in if you want to send a message to republicans that they need to select a qualified candidate. You may consider that a vote for Hillary. In that case, you need to ask yourself, would the country be better off after 4 years of Trump or 4 years of Hillary. Although I could never bring myself to vote for Trump, I don't really like Hillary. However I think she is certainly capable of running the country and I expect it will be here after 4 years without serious damage. I can't say the same for Trump.

Whether Hillary is corrupt or not, to me is not a primary factor. They are all corrupt. You just know a lot more about Hillary because she's been in the spotlight for over 20 years. What you see is what you get. There is no one in politics who has been the subject of more investigations, political attacks, and media witch hunts than Hillary.
