What Are The Republicans CURRENTLY Doing To Imrprove The Economy?

Or how a republican ever makes anything better for the working class. This isn't what your party is about. At least not in the last 5 decades.

I don't have a party, but thanks anyway.

As for making things better for the working class? I don't see what role anyone should have in making anything better for any particular group of people. We've tried making things better for women, now women are discriminated against even more. We're tried making things better for minorities and the poor, now they are even more dependent.

Have you ever thought of doing the opposite approach, which is nothing?

Government ONLY MAKES THINGS BETTER FOR ITSELF, and the people who it get's it's money from.

The sooner you oxygen thieves get that into your empty skulls, the sooner you'll actually deserve that oxygen.

Until that time, you're parasites who do nothing but contribute to the decline of the nation.

Who can forget:

Unemployment stimulates the economy

Bank ATM's and airport kiosks are ruining the Obamaeconomy

That three letter word j-o-b-s!

Trying to stop the Libs from taxing everyone to death.

All you ever hear from the Dems is TAX TAX TAX.

I believe "WE ARE TAXED ENOUGH ALREADY".

Now that I've said that, be a good comrade and report me to the IRS FOR AUDIT.

OK, then I imagine you'd have some SPECIFICS to go with that GENERAL statement.

List them please.

Overturning Obamacare...Stopping the constant increases in the debt ceiling.
Submitting a budget with lower percentage increases.
Attempting to lower the corporate income tax,
Attempting to keep or reduce regulations which have no purpose other than to stifle the private sector.
The real question should be "Why has Obama not kept his promises to the middle class(NOneof you who make under $250k will see a tax increase under my plan). To blacks( I will increase the number of black and other minority students who wish to attend college). To the private sector (I want to put America back to work)?"..
This is Obama's watch....Why ask what the US House of Representatives is doing. Why not ask the leader of the free world?....You know, the guy who is supposedly in charge?

I'm glad you asked

The Forgotten Depression of 1920

https://mises.org/daily/3788

Yes. The Depression of 1920 is rarely taught in schools. This is because the establishment has decided that the FDR/Keynesian approach is the way one is suppose to handle a depression.

Good to know the current administration is following those lessons to a tea.

I have to wonder if the moonbat messiah doesn't want us to engage in a major war, not one we would win mind you. FDR didn't "fix" the depression, war did. He doubled down on the asinine central planning that progressive RINO puke Hoover endeavored to do. WW2 and the subsequent rebuilding propelled us out of the depression.

It for damn sure wasn't the WPA.

Nothing, because government can't fix it.

The only solution to this economy is to return to gold and silver, whilst erecting protective tariffs against foreign currencies and commodities.

FDR made things better using government. Even back then republicans didn't believe in helping the average person and used the old, "let the market work its magic" crap.

Oh? What the fuck do you think happened when those WPA projects were created?
I will tell you. Those guys went right back to the bread lines.
Listen up you statist stooge, but for our involvement in WW II the great depression would have lasted well into the 1950's...As it was, the poor economy only subsided in the Mid 1940's.
Much of the cause of the economic quagmire was due to FDR's spending.

Racist

Submitting a budget with lower percentage increases.

How about reducing current spending levels or even flat lining them, not just slowing the increase.

Attempting to lower the corporate income tax,

Get rid of it entirely, businesses HAVE TO pass on that burden to the consumer. That is those of us with JOBS.

Attempting to keep or reduce regulations which have no purpose other than to stifle the private sector.

Yeah, you'll get that past a bunch of zealots who recoil at the sound of the word "profit", unless someone is talking about muhamed.

The real question should be "Why has Obama not kept his promises to the middle class(NOneof you who make under $250k will see a tax increase under my plan). To blacks( I will increase the number of black and other minority students who wish to attend college). To the private sector (I want to put America back to work)?"..

More RACISM!!!

This is Obama's watch....Why ask what the US House of Representatives is doing. Why not ask the leader of the free world?....You know, the guy who is supposedly in charge?

I just wonder at what point he becomes responsible FOR ANYTHING!!!

These bed wetters blamed Bush for terrorism and natural disasters!!

Well I can play that bullshit game too.

Obama Steered Tornadoes in Oklahoma today using CIA weather control satellites to punish OK for not supporting him.

Yes bed wetters that sounds just as stupid as some of you fruitcakes did during Katrina.

Well....???

Trying to impeach Obama.

I wondered what kept you guys from this impeachment thing so long. Republicans are scumbags.. Just like when Clinton was prez. Government shutdowns, Rush gasbag on the radio every day talking about Clinton being a socialist and spending too much. and let's impeach him. What a laugh after Reagan spent us into debt. I call your side the wrecking crew. Complain, filibuster, obstruct, impeach. Like hyenas and jackals.
Unrealistic nonsense hate commentary.
You just kicked yourself out of the thread.
Wrecking crew? Yes sir...Wrecking the scourge that is liberalism which seeks to grow the federal government.

Actually the war never fixed the depression either. When the war went away, so did the economy. GDP plunged 12% right after. Economist all over the country were wondering how would the Government fix the economy without the ability to build planes, tanks and bombs.

But they didn't need to build tanks or bombs. In fact, they did nothing and the economy rebounded, like it should have done in the first place without the New Deal.

If you strip away the economic effects the war had, the Great Depression didn't end until 1946 - 47'.

There's a reason why the Great Depression lasted as long as it did.

How long was it supposed to last? Tell me about the last time a republican administration pulled us out of a depression or how austerity works when times are tough and people are in need.

What do these questions mean?
The idea that government exists to do any of these things is FALSE.
Which austerity is that you are referring to?....Perhaps you need to be reminded that the last time the federal government instituted austerity was when Carter placed a freeze on federal hiring. He then attempted wage and price controls.

There is one constant result that occurs when government manipulates the marketplace....Disaster.
Of course none of this means anything to a person who worships and kneels at rhe government altar.
Hey, if you want to convert from citizen to subject, be my guest.

Every single rabid RW USMB lemming stated something to the effect of "anything to stop Obama"

That is because they KNOW that not one. single. elected. Republican is doing a DAMN thing to improve the economy.

Yet the bastards have the nerve to bring up the subject in other threads.

Given their own thread to address the issue what do they have...? Bupkiss.

I thought you were going to 'save' this thread for a later date....As in you weren't going to post for another 3 years...
RATS!

Any of them for that matter.

Well....???

Mostly stopping Obama from making it worse, which is all i really want them to do.

You sound like mitch mcconnell.
Your side was trying to stop Obama from making things worse the day after the election in 2008. This was after bush brought USA economy to it's knees. I say this in case you were in grade school or in a coma at the time and didn't know.

Republican

My side?

Is throwing temper tantrums and bitching doing something? If so, the GOP are doing an amazing job!

Waiting for Harry Reid to put the jobs bills passed by the House up for a vote in the Senate.

Jobs bills passed by the House... that's a laugh.

You mean the de-regulation bills? Forget it. There's a reason why they're stalled in the Senate. It's because they suck.

Now, now. Everyone knows that Congress is only capable of passing laws which suck.

Well....???

Democrats run more than half the government. Wouldn't a better question be what are the democrats doing to help the economy?
No, that wouldn't be a better question.

The Republicans were, and still are CLAIMING to be the party of fiscal responsibility.

That's their so-called claim to fame.

That being the case...what exactly are they doing to get the economy in order?

Note, not ONE legitimate response from the USMB RWers. All responses have been some form of "stop Obama" "impeach Obama" "stop the Democrats" "Obstruct the Democrats" or, like yours, a question like "Well what are the Democrats doing?"

They are doing not. one. damn. thing. to fix the economy. Not a single one of them. Essentially they lied when they ran, those that ran on fiscal responsibility, which was a hefty chunk of them. A few actually lived in RW districts enough to outright run on stopping Obama, but only a relative handful.
