What happens when your leader is a prolific liar

And there won't be any secret military tribunal envelopes passed around at Carter's state memorial.

What damage can a few harmless fibs do? It’s just his nature.
If a President wants support for bringing his country to war, he must have credibility.
When he describes an imminent threat, people must believe that threat to send their sons and daughters to war

Every president since JFK has lied. Even Jimmy Carter ( for reasons we'll never know - let's just say he was encouraged to quietly lose in 1980 by people you don't mess with ). Obama was the worst so far, or maybe tied with Clinton and Bush, even though the ones with DNC blinders on can't see it
Started to read then saw you go all conspiracy theory on me and stopped

Do you have a reasonable theory as to why Trump just suddenly decided to kill a guy for no reason? If not, you should be embarrassed for making this threa.

Try a different dictionary, not that he or any other politician has displayed perfect word use, he is certainly no wordsmith.
We have all heard predictions of earthquakes describe as imminent, that did not occur for years.
imminent (adj.)
1520s, from Middle French imminent (14c.) and directly from Latin imminentem (nominative imminens) "overhanging; impending," present participle of imminere "to overhang, lean towards," hence "be near to," also "threaten, menace, impend, be at hand, be about to happen," from assimilated form of in- "into, in, on, upon" (from PIE root *en "in") + -minere "jut out," which is related to mons "hill" (from PIE root *men- (2) "to project"). Related: Imminently.

Does anyone doubt, Iran and/or proxies would strike again, on American or allied targets? It has been common enough in the past, kind of like earthquake predictions.

I had no doubt. I have no real regret at his action.
Difference between eventual and imminent

Iran wasn’t striking US targets before Trump

Not accurate. True, they increased greatly after he walked away from the agreement (a poor move in my opinion) and his continually spoke in a bellicose manner, as has too often been his nature (his charm to his supporters [I almost said rightwing, rewording due to your screen name]) but, strike they repeatedly have, and make no mistake, they would have (and still might) strike again. I am encouraged by his speech this morning, as should be you.
His speech offered nothing to Iran
They can’t trust what he says anyway

You are worried about what they can trust ?

Whose side are you on ?
I’m on the side with a President who has zero credibility at home or abroad. A President who has managed to alienate every one of our allies

Hello....

Obama isn't in the White House.

Did he just make this up ?
Trump claims Iran's top general was plotting to blow up the US Embassy in Iraq — but doesn't give any evidence backing it up

because he's an impulsive man baby with no self CONtrol. he tweets 'official' government business in 280 characters & there is still no proof of any 'imminent threat'.

There can never be irrefutable proof of something that hasn't happened, dumbfuck. Even if there was, you would still claim there is no proof.

' but doesn't give any evidence backing it up '

i'm gonna say yes.

the article says it was ' off the cuff ' which means he pulled it out of his fat orange ass. god only knows what else he wanted to bloviate about - that is probably why they were late coming out & it was reported at the time that they were making last minute changes to his 'speech'. the dude doesn't look good at all - his sniffing & snorting & he seemed to have struggled reading that teleprompter, slurring at times & mispronouncing words. lookat him - you think that mango hued face is just 'lighting'? it looks like that makeup was slapped on with a trowel.

So you believe you can prove things that haven't happened? And I'm the idiot?

I've noticed that even Limbaugh is having to scramble to spin for Trump's alternate-universe dishonesty.

Now, since he can't deny the way Trump is, he'll play a clip of Trump casually tossing out an abject lie, and then say, "hyuk hyuk, they just don't get Trump".

So evidently, the standard rules of fundamental honesty don't apply to Trump, so anything he says is off limits to fact-checking or normal expectations.

Other world leaders, the rest of America, the rest of the world, are somehow supposed to suspend all standards of honesty for this man-child.

Okay, well, at least we know the rules now.

you don't know what imminent means do you? it's crystal clear that poorly educated deplorables don't. why haven't we bombed NK for an imminent threat to SK?

god damn you're stuuuuuuuuuuupid. but a very loyal flying monkey, i'll give you that.
