With the Texas open carry law being new, it certainly appears the Whataburger execs made a hasty knee jerk reaction to the media hysteria.
Once the dust settles and everyone sees life goes on as usual in Texas just like the other 24 states that do not outlaw open carry, I suspect the Whataburger people will rethink their poorly thought out decision.
I can imagine outside the left leaning big urban areas they are getting an earful.

We have had open carry here in Nevada since I can remember.
The vast majority here prefer to carry concealed. When you do see someone OC, it's just no big deal.
