Pain is not a problem right now. My fate is based on how my body responds to chemo. Maybe get four years out of it if I'm lucky. But who knows by then. Most are not even driving yet. Outside of studies in school, kids could care less on what's happening in the political world.

My youngest, who is 13, is quite political. And quite conservative. I assume that has something to do with all the adults around him being politically active, on both sides of the fence. That being said, and taking into account that he's very smart, he still doesn't have the best grasp of reason and logic on the subject, simply because he's still just 13. Some things just require time and experience. Until he's actually had a job, had to pay himself for the things he wants, had to deal with people who were stupid and hateful because he doesn't have a choice, he's not going to have the perspective to vote responsibly.
