What's wrong with it is that all history should be included/taught as one. White, black, hispanic, whatever. Stop singling out certain groups for moar equality. E pluribus unum, baby. No special months for one race and not another. That's bullshit.

Get rid of BET, black history month and include those shows and that history in with everything. I'm so freakin' sick of some being 'more equal' than others.

The study of history is by nature a subject broken down into smaller bite sized subjects.

History includes every event that happens.

Obviously one cannot approach any history that broad.

Other than racism, I see not reason anyone would object to Black history.

Nobody complains about military history, or economic history, or US, European history, or the history of the English Speaking people, do they?

Of course not.

To object to a history that specializes in one aspect of history is just plain silly.

Basically it telegraphs to the listener that the complaintent hasn't really given the issue of what history means all that much thought.

Every history is a limited subject taken out of that greater thing that we call HISTORY.

Exalting any people because they are black or white or any other skin color only serves to emphasize skin color as somehow making people different and eliminates any chance for racism to fade away in our society. Only when we consider skin color to be of no more importance than hair color or eye color will racism be eliminated.

Blacks are an ETHNIC GROUP in this country and they/we have a wide range of colors amongst us, but all having a common experience in this country when it came to being second citizens.

People should have acknowledgements for their accomplishments, not becuase of their race. Not all blacks have the same history, not all of any race has the same history. Celebrate an individual or group based on something they have positively done for the betterment of all.
