Obama essentially made the same mistake as Bush did with Iraq- it just didn't cost as many American lives or as much American money.

Intervening into a foreign country- removing its government- without planning for what happens afterwards- leaves the country open for both civil wars and the rise of extremism.

If Trump manages to avoid this during his presidency, in this way he will have bettered both Obama and Bush.
